Indefinite leave to remain in the UK , unmarried partner?
Answer:
If as you say your visa was issued as the fiancee/unmarried partner of a UK resident then you actually only have to be in the UK two years to qualify (see form Set M at the governments website http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/6353/11... ). If you came for another reason on your original visa, e.g. student, work then there are other rules.
The form Set M is fairly straight forward and should be no problem to fill out. It must be filed before your visa expires. Best of luck!
Hi, sorry I dont know the answer to this, but I am sure you can call someone and ask??
Good luck with it all, hope you are both happy here :)
i am engaged to a girl from Russia and we found that the immigration advisory service is the best place for answers
Contact immigration solicitors and ask them
But do not go on your own in Croydon, I mean without a legal representative
You can contact either Home office, or Imigration & Natioanality Directorate at www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk . Therefore I 'd like to inform you that when a law changes it applys to ALL, which means also to you. But to be more sure contact them. Good Luck
