Would u agree with the Hispanic community that deporting illegals convicted of violent crimes is going to far?

Who the do these criminals thing they are? They come into our country ILLEGALLY and then think they have some power to demand that we do not enforce our own laws.http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/46999...
Waukegan authorities say they are preparing today for thousands of people expected to descend on the downtown area to protest the city's proposed extension of immigration enforcement.
Waukegan Police Chief William Biang said his department is working with other local agencies to beef up enforcement for an announced rally that will coincide with the City Council's vote to reconsider application for 287(g) authorization.

Though thousands are expected, only about 175 will fit in council chambers. Admission will be granted only to those who have tickets, which will be distributed at Waukegan's south beach, beginning at 4 p.m.

The first 400 people will be given tickets, but only 174 are guaranteed admission.

If the council supports moving forward with 287(g), ultimately Waukegan police could obtain authority to begin deportation proceedings for illegal residents convicted of violent crimes.

That's something that many in the Hispanic community say would go too far.

Jose Guzman, a leader of the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement in Waukegan, said various activist groups plan to protest against the council's vote beginning at 5 p.m.

Guzman said he expects anywhere from 3,000 to 5,000 people to show up for a nonviolent demonstration.

Answer:
Yes I think deportation is going to far. They should take these criminals to a tent city jail, like one county has here in AZ. Have them serve the maximum sentence for the crime they committed. And while they are serving that sentence they can do all of those pesky jobs American citizens wont do, for 15 cents an hour. When the sentence is served then deport, if they get caught here again throw them back in jail for the rest of their lives. If they try to escape, execute them.

It also sound like this town meeting would be a really good place to check immigration status. But we can't have that. You know that would be racist.
kinda yeah is dangerous
ALL illegals should be deported!
Nope. Deportation is better than they deserve.
Agree man if you are here the laws apply and if they aren't going to be civil then they should go back to their country. IF you can't respect our country and the people in it when we let you in then you have no bussiness here

I am hispanic, but I am legal
Jes thats great
Perfect time to round them up for deportation.
We have enough sickos, and violent people that are here in the States legally. we certainly do not need the immoral and depraved psychos from the rest of the world. They should all be deported for being illegal... they shouldn't be given the chance to be violent here!!
No , I Do not think that it is going too far, it is absolutely the right thing to do. Something needs to be done about them and their feelings of superiortiy. If we stopped feeding into it they would stop demanding. I dont owe them jack sg^% and neither does the rest of America.
I don't agree. It's pathetic that anyone would want a violent criminal in the country simply because they are the same race. This is the mentality we're dealing with. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
I say get them out. They have it good here if they cant realize that then give them the boot. If you had a that was staying at your house til he/she gets back on your feet and then turns violent against you would you allow that person to stay. I know I would not. Our are overpopulated as it is get the ones that dont bwelong here.
didn't read your whole rant because your first sentence has grammar errors. how can people take you seriously if you can't express yourself properly?
deporting illegals is the law whether or not they're "criminals" (just them being here illegally makes them criminals, anyway.)
The illegal immigration in this country is truly getting out of control. Personally I think that if someone immigrates to this country and commits ANY crime they should be deported.. If they come here and don't want to live by our laws, then they should have to go back.
if there will be hundreds of known illegals in one place (not all will be illegal) but most will why cant they be arrested and deported? they are known law breakers. if there were hundreds of known murderers or drug dealers you can bet that they will be arrested. whats the difference a criminal is a criminal.
It's illegal and it is dangerous for all Americans. Immigration and amnesty reform is not the answer to the Hispanics prayers and it is not right for our country to do absolutely nothing about illegals coming in everyday. We have laws on the books now, why can't we just enforce them?
Yes I agree. Everyone deserves another chance, even violent criminals
Is the INS going to be there too?
There's too many people in the US now.

However, the US blantly trespasses and destroys other countrys to steal OIL, shock and awe style, so if someone comes here illegally to quietly do a hard job, it doesn't seem nearly so bad in comparison..
When we live in a country who puts it's Citizens FIRST, then we will begin to solve whatever problems the foreigners create under our watchful eyes.

Let's hope Waukegan listens to it's law abiding Citizens and not allow foreigners to run things.

I'll definately agree, but I'm going to have to say ANY illegals need to be deported! Here's the deal, anyone coming to the border, give them this altimatum. "You can do one of two things, one, enlist in the military and go to Iraq, we'll supply you with a gun, ammo food and water; if you make it back alive, you can have a Green Card, or two, you don't have to enlist in the military, and we'll just ship you to Iraq." Everybody wins! HOORAY FOR AMERICA AND DOING WHATEVER WE WANT!
First of all, not all Hispanic individuals agree with this group. They DO NOT represent all Hispanic individuals. That's bullcrap! I'm a Hispanic individual and if a person, even a resident is convicted of committing a violent crime I think they should be deported and or thrown in jail. I don't understand why this group is trying to help out criminals...that's not helping the community.
I think that deportation might be too far. It would depend on the situation. Think of the consequences. What about their children or their wife. You're looking at the political view. Imagine your self in their place.
Hell no that's not going too far,I'd say that's a good start . Why should we spend money to care for and house these criminals in our prisons? It's all just a waste of money if you ask me. I think the first thing "law enforcers" should look at is if that person is here legally or illegally. If you're illegal then you have NO RIGHTS therefore you should be shipped to the country where you have citizenship and be charged for your crimes there.
It definitely isn't going too far, but they need to serve their full sentences here before being deported. Just deporting them would not be going far enough.

Alberto has a good point. I'm sure that these people do not represent all hispanics.
Hey, I'm Hispanic and you don't have to convince me that illegal is illegal and is harmful to our American society, that is just being illegal imaging if after that, they are also committing criminals acts. Please do not refer as to the Hispanic Community as a whole because we don't support illegals or illegal acts, just say pro illegals from the Hispanic Community, do you know that pro illegals come from all communities because of ignorants and not because of being Hispanics.
Now I've heard it all. Deporting convicted violent criminals is going too far? Sheesh.
No I do not agree- I believe that illegals you have been convicted of crimes should be deported.
Deportion is the only answer. Perhaps ICE could be at the meeting to check 'paper's and pick up those without documentation? Wouldn't that be wonderful?
No, I think the criminals should never be allowed here in the first place.
