Although I voted for Bush and still like his stance on terrorism, I am very dissapointed in his veiws on illigal immigration. Immigration has become such a huge problem now because we have let politicians drag their feet on not enforcing the laws already on the books. If passed most illigals won't follow the new laws anyway. Why should they? They allready get what ever they want without paying 5 grand and going through the hasstle of becoming citizens. They don't want to become Americans they just want all the benifits we are freely giving them already. If they riot it will be because it did pass, and our government actually does start enforcing the laws. But I will not hold my breath on that one. I don't condone rioting but I do think every law abiding American who loves this country no matter their ethnic background should be protesting our government to get their heads out of their colletives butts. Thousands are emailing and calling their reps and the white house and that's a good thing. But maybe just a bit too late.
The left has shown its propensity to riot if they do not get their way. I don't see this immigration policy plan passing the house where the division is far greater then in the left minded senate and white house. If its jammed down America's throat it will be done fast - next week - so that America forgets by election day.

These are the United States of America. I believe that should they resolve to do so, they could indeed round every single one up and deport or imprison them. This is what they should do. Anyone that chooses to break the laws and to do so openly should be dealt with severely. Any employer that hires these people should also be dealt with severely.
My biggest issue with GWB is his support for these people. Probably has something to do with his family being generally bilingual from living in Texas. Hopefully, his replacement will be more supportive of following the laws of the land.
I think that if the amnesty passes there will be problems, thankfully I see little chance of it passing,especially in its current form. The current amnesty plan is a giveaway of the highest order,and our "representatives" in congress are already feeling the heat from the citizens. The vast majority of the senators are at this moment getting the message that if they pass this particular piece of legislation that they won't be in the Senate after the next election cycle.
And while I may not think it's totally right I think that if this amnesty plan passes that the ramifications may even spill over into the entire hispanic community. I already know people that are avoiding as many hispanic run or owned businesses as possible,and while this may not be right I believe it could be a consequence of current actions.

A lot of the proposed deal has been leaked to the public and the ground swell is growing fast and the rumbles are making the politicians think twice about risking it, especially during the time when we elect our next President.
I think another march is inevitable, even though a possible amnesty proposal is on the table IT STILL IS NOT ENOUGH, they want more.
