they want to be called "little people". more often when they are called midgets, they are offended b/c they may not be midgets, they might be dwarfs. calling the smaller than average sixed people "little people" is a bit more politically correct! or say vertically challenged (i am 5 feet tall...the rest of my family (minus my 3 yr. old NEPHEW) are all taller than me...even if it is by 4 inches. my bro is 5'11, sis is 5'6, mom is 5'5, grandpa in the heyday was 6' now at 83-84 he's like 5'10) or short.....

i am not sure. i think Midget is a little harsh. So is dwarf. i dont feel comfortable with those names. I just call them and treat them as i would a normal person. Well they are normal people. They are just smaller than me. i would call them by their name. I havent had the opportunity to befriend a little person but i would welcome the chance. I am always interested in meeting new people of all deformities shapes and colors.
