What is the benefit of having more than one passport?
Answer:
The benefits would be the ability to live, work and buy property legally in more than one country. The downside would be that if you have a German passport, and also a South African passport and you run into problems in South Africa since you are a citizen of that nation Germany would not be able to step in and help you out.
If you are already a German (EU) citizen, there isn“t much point in getting a separate British passport.
It's always usefull for drug smugglers
My friend has two, one for Venezuela and one for the US. When she travels to Venezuela she uses that countries passport. It makes going through immigration a lot faster. When she comes back to the states she uses the US passport for the same reason.
Also, you will have no need to gain a visa for the countries you have a passport with. Also, some countries that you visit may not require you to have a visa for one but the other.
For me to go to Senegal and Morocco, I did not need a visa from the United States. But to go to Mauritania I did. So that would be where that would come in handy.
