Sponsoring some one to come America?
I want to sponser my boyfriend. I want to know is it true that you can't marry the person you sponser?

he has a master degree and dont need goverment money so it is not like that. I have known him for 3 years and it is a love. I did waited to trust him. He is from india he is a really nice guy. He is in america for work but had returned after he had finished his work visa. After he went back i missed him and he miss me also. We want to get married. He is Catholic no terrorist and I dont want to marry an american.

If you are a US citizen, you can sponsor someone to come here on a Fiancee visa. If he is approved, you must marry within 90 days of his arrival or else his visa expires and he falls into a deportable status. Only US citizens can sponsor a Fiancee. If you are a Green Card Holder, then you would need to marry before you can sponsor him to come to the US as a spouse (which currently takes 6 years for someone from India).
Marrying the sponsor has nothing to do with anything.
In order for you to sponsor someone, you must be a citizen or permanent resident and the person you are sponsoring must be an immediate relative, such as spouse, parent, child, etc. There is no way for anyone in America to sponsor a boyfriend to come and stay in the country. The best thing to do is decide to get married.
Meester wonderfull of it probably is already married back home. Why doesn't he take you with him then you will not be tempted to look at Americans.
