Should migras be allowed to shoot unarmed suspects and lie to their supervisors?

Answer:
No, they should't.
That rule is important, in order to stablish some limits on their behavior.
If you think about it, it would be kind of dangerous to give them more power than they have, since you cannot be sure all of that kind of public servants will always use it in the rigth way.
You don't know if eventually they would use it against innocent people.
Yes, if those unarmed suspects are smuggling drugs into the country.
if this is anything to do with any illegals being shot, you need to go do some research on the case. it is not that simple, by a long shot.

plus, how can you say someone was unarmed when they escaped for three days and had those three days to hide a weapon if they had it? it would be the height of stupidity to keep a weapon that long when you could hide it.*

*i am referring to agents ramos and campone. (SP?) if this isn't the case you mean, sorry.
Lying to their supervisors warrants disciplinary action. However, I think it would warrant something less than 11 or 12 years in jail.

Shooting an unarmed suspect in a nonlethal manner I think may end up being necessary. Otherwise all drug smugglers have to do is come unarmed and run back across the border every time they are spotted, and we would never apprehend any.

Then they would be encouraged to flourish.

I think they need to be given a real ability to give up, and a warning to stop or be shot, but at the border, I think we have less flexibility than in the interior.

I'd have to think this one through for implications, but it is where I am starting to come down on this point.
Yes. Pendejo boy
Were YOU there??? How do you know the drug running illegal was "unarmed"?!!
The agents said they saw something in his hand that could easily have been a weapon. And, actually the two border agents DID give a verbal report to several of their supervisors This is new information that is just coming out about the incident, that was never reported before!!!
if your talking about that case where the agents are in jail for twelve years. I see everyone has basicly covered everything about the case except. The bullet that was found it the guys butt does not match the bullets from the agents gun.
Nice try, why don't you do a little more research!!! They did report it, there were 2 supervisors there.

Go back in your hole, little troll.

In the memo, one of several confidential Homeland Security documents about the incident obtained by The Sun's sister newspaper based in Ontario, the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, Sanchez wrote that all the Border Patrol agents on scene, including two supervisors, knew about the shooting when it happened and failed to report it.
It gets even better...

Further, Border Patrol firearms policy prohibits agents involved in a shooting from filing a written report on the incident, as reported earlier this week.

The policy requires that supervisors or investigators file the report within three hours of the incident.

"Ensure that supervisory personnel ... are aware that employees involved in a shooting incident shall not be required or allowed to submit a written statement of the circumstances surrounding the incident," according to the firearms policy.

Yes... It is in their employment contract. They have the right to shoot unarmed suspects and lie to their supervisors. But here in the United States we call them US Border Patrol Officers. They are only called "Migras" when you don't have citizenship or if you are being shot at.
I am sure that none of the "Migras" are out hunting down innocent, unarmed people. When are we going to realize that when we do something wrong there are consequences? Has anyone been shot by "Migras" lately that was just minding their own business working at their job in Tecate? They were at the border doing something that cause officials to watch them.... weren't they? ...and when they did something that further aroused suspicion... they were watched closer. Eventually guns came into play. What were they doing? Planting shrubbery on the border so it would look nice? No... they were doing something illegal... and they were caught.
I dont think they should..its my opinion. But they do it anyways.....one of these days their going to end up shooting their own people....why not just arrest the suspects
Drug dealers smuggling drugs across an armed border deserve whatever they get.
If you're stupid enough to try it, take your lumps, scum.
YES, Drug and human smugglers along with a few Illegal Alien Invaders and need to shoot some everyday
I think as I do not know what a Migras is
I'm guessing a border patrol officer
Build the Wall to protect them all/US all
Deport them all when found
Jail employers of the illegal alien invader rejects
some reasons are below
I think you should read the whole story http://www.amw.com/features/feature_stor... If I was working the border and someone shined something shiny at me ,yea Id defend myself. And it was reported.
yes, if they are smuggling drugs and attack when told to stop the migras have a right to shoot, they are our border police. by the way the illegal lied on the guards. read the whole story.
