Who is primarily responsible to pay visitort`s hospital bills - visitor or sponsor?

Typically, the sponsor is the 'guarantor' of the debt, the debtor (visitor) is primarily responsible. However, the hospital doesn't have to 'go after' the visitor first. The whole reason for a guarantor is that visitor's are hard to track down and hold accountable for bills.
i'm not an attorney or a lawfirm but....the sponser is 100% responsible for everything until the alien is legal and employed and even then if they don't pay what they owe.I know because I too was a sponsor.
