Why am I rejected for work after selection in BRITISH AIRWAYS in uk?

I have student valid student visa...and I had an interview in BA but I am rejected due to only the following word / sentence in my student visa stamp that is following and actually I don't know the actual meaning of that ..and what shall I do for the same?
In my visa stamp its written
"No recourse to public funds.
Work(and any changes) must be authorised."

Answer:
It sounds as though you only have a student visa and not a work permit which you need to be able to get a job in the UK....check with immigration for further details...

No recourse to public funds would mean that you are not entitled to any welfare benefits whilst you are here
Work (and any changes) must be authorised, basically means that you have to contact immigration for authorisation if you wish to change the terms of your visa.
I think you have to obtain permission to work. Contact the Home Office. No recourse to public funds means you can't claim benefits. HTH.
