i'm puerto rican and i don't like illegal immigrates because they are the new slaves of this country. i've seem them take out asbestos with there hands with no masks, they have no health care, they have no penisons, they are no people with no legal real life in this country so there used like throw away people thats why i don't like it.
Yet there are tons of illegal white immigrants in the US from Europe, Russia etc. Do white Americans consider those as illegal?
I'm sure the American Indians did not like it when the whites came onto their land illegally...

I'm not white and I have a problem with illegal immigrants. I was born here, lived here and served in the military for this country. I EARNED the right to be here. Thing is, I don't think it's that difficult to become a U.S. Citizen so long as a person follows the proper steps to do that so get it done. I don't like going to McDonalds and having a difficult time ordering a freegin' Hamburger because of language barriers. That's just retarded.

I know a lot of hispanics who are here legally and they don't like the illegals streaming across the border either, The reason is because they entered the country the correct way and also became part of our culture which included learning our language. They do not appreciate illegals who exlploit our laws burden our society by taking advantage of social systems, and not bothering to learn english, and giving the legal immigrants a bad rep. Not to mention overcrowding the prisons and jails even more and tying up our legal system costing tax payers a lot of money prosecuting and imprisoning people who should not be here in the first place.

I COMPLETELY agree. It does have to deal with racism, I mean you NEVER hear them complain about Europeans getting here illegally right? And it IS hard coming here legally, the stupid government makes you wait years for every problem they find even if they can't find one!! Mexicans have it the worst, EVERYTIME they bring up illeglal immigration, they're the first to have the finger pointed at them. It's just that most Americans always need to point the finger at someone...the whole job issue?? THat IS BuLL****!!! They don't take away jobs, if you can't get one or lost one, that is ALL on you. Many Mexicans even make jobs just to have food and money. Need a job?? Go out there and sell corn, candy, water, fruit. You're too good for that?? Well then you don't really NEED a job do you??
Maybe a corollary question would be, why aren't non-whites concerned about illegal immigration? Your implication is that white people are racist for caring about the damage illegal immigration does to our country, which in itself seems somewhat racist, or at the least, self-serving at the expense of the common good.
As you can see, I'm black AND white. EVERYBODY has some spec of racism in them, but the best argument id that they are indeed breaking the law.
I am not a racist but I firmly believe that immigrants should be in this country legally. We have laws which Americans must obey. Why should Mexican illegals be any different and expect special disposition? I had to wait three years to get American clearance before I was able to come to America and live here. I became a citizen in less that a year. I pay taxes and obey the law. I vote on elections. I contribute each week toward social security and an IRA. I speak almost perfect English and will have a degree in physics from a top rated university in another 6 months. I obey every US law diligently. Why should Mexicans come here by sneaking into this country and receive medical and schooling treatment without having to pay for it? They are breaking US law and should be send back to Mexico pronto.
America was built by many "Foreigners" and has long accepted anyone wanting a better way of life. Well, too many have now entered through our borders and have decided the Constitution our government goes by is not to their liking...i.e they want to take god out of schools, they do not want the 10 commandments in public etc...
America welcomed all types of different people in its open arms only to get kicked in the butt. The beauty of being in a land where you are able to say and do what you wish, pray to whoever your higher power is, is that YOU CAN do this.
You came here for a reason? some because conditions where not right in their country, they wanted better for themselves and their families...well they have it here, So my question to Illegal and Legal immigrants alike is this, if what you left behind was so bad why are you trying to live the same way here? You are supposed to be bettering yourself and your families.
Stop and think about the long history of your new country and all the good/bad that came with it. Does your country offer the same for Immigrants? Or would we HAVE to learn to speak the language to live there? Could we come to YOUR country Illegally and make a living a send the money back to our families to live on? Could we pray to our god without repercussions?
Could we be vocal and protest against your government without going to jail? Could we assemble in a public place to rallie?
How do you know they're white? Most of the people here don't identify their ethnicity.
Many Mexican legal immigrants oppose the illegals, too. The illegals make the legals look bad.
We oppose illegal immigration from Europe, too, but they're not a big problem. Illegal immigrants number about 1 in every 30 people here. Only a small percentage are European. The Europeans don't want to claim 10% of our land mass, claiming it's theirs. They don't protest our government, waving their countries' flags. They're not trying to turn our country into another version of Europe. They adapt to our way of life. They learn English. They don't build tunnels under the border to smuggle in drugs make a profit off the destruction of our people. They don't bring in vanloads of marijuana, wave what appears to be a gun at the border guards, and then sue the border guards who try to stop them. They aren't clogging our courts and jails.
We didn't much care about the illegal Mexicans, either, until they became a problem. Nobody protested much in the '80's when Reagan gave them all amnesty.
Their ethnicity is not the problem. Their impact on our country is.
Whites are like that. They may be hanging you from a tree because your skin is dark and they will still say: "we're not doing it because we're racist, stop playing the race card! we do it because we're trying to help you!"

That doesn't include the easily findable protests on youtube that includes whites and blacks in rallies. Interestingly enough - the only mention of race in the videos I've found came from Hispanic pro-illegal immigration activists who would yell things like "white boy" and say things like "Europeans are the ones who need to go back to Europe - this is our place." I have yet to find one of the videos of anti-illegal immigration activists (except for KKK or neo-nazi members) even mention the words "race," "white," or "Hispanic."

The government in america is in the majority white, few of them have a problem with illegals being here, people of all races have an opinion as to right and wrong, but the way I observe it, is that most people do not have a problem with illegals being here or else there would be more protests and revolts against the criminal gov and the criminals they are protecting, just because a few of us speak out on MyTend does not mean we are all white and that all whites are against crime, by the way what color are you today.

You know, if you want to call it racism, then by all means call it that. If that is the only argument you have for condoning a criminal act, I feel sorry for you and many others. If a white, black, pink, purple person breaks into your house, rapes your wife and daughter, steals all your money and beats the crap out of you, he/she gets arrested and says it is racism, does that make sense. That person has violated the law period. But yet, our government does listen to people of all types and tries to be firm, fair and consistent(well, I am dreaming a bit there for the mostpart), and if one screams racism it is usually taken seriously and other actions are taken. As far as disliking immigrants of color, immigrants are legal, illegal aliens are in one word, or maybe two or three, ILLEGAL, CRIMINALS, ETC..... There are plenty of immigrants who have followed the laws and they totally detest that others are basically shaming them and their efforts to begin a new life in this country that they chose to become associated with trying to come here and demand equality and rights even tho they are here illegally. Considering the many different cultures represented in America, it would be sad,very sad indeed, if the only people concerned about the devastating effect of illegal immigration on the United States of America were Caucasian.
If that were actually the case, then it would appear to me that we definitely need to tidy up our immigration policy perhaps by including race as a defining factor as entry into this great country of ours.
