Why is the media spinning the term illegal ALIEN to illegal immigrant?
In fact the definition is as follows:
ADJECTIVE:
Owing political allegiance to another country or government; foreign: alien residents.
Belonging to, characteristic of, or constituting another and very different place, society, or person; strange. See Synonyms at foreign.
NOUN:
An unnaturalized foreign resident of a country. Also called noncitizen .
A person from another and very different family, people, or place.
A person who is not included in a group; an outsider.

It is clear by their unwillingness to assimilate into the American Culture and their allegence to MEXICO (I am using hispanics because they are the main people who are invading the US at this time). You see it every time they display the MEXICO flag and their refusal at learning English.
Answer:
Actually the liberal media will rarely ever use the term illegal and immigrant in the same sentence.
Unfortunately, in this 'war of words' . . . those who control the semantics, in this case the illegal alien lobby, guarantees that the choice of words and phrases used will essentially control the debate. That is why the pro-illegals crowd will NEVER use the word "illegal" in conjunction with "immigrants," so that when they refer to our country as a "nation of immigrants," they are able to obfuscate and blur what should be a perfectly clear view of very contrary facts!
In a very subtle but complex way, the illegal alien lobby is getting most Americans to submissively place themselves on par with those illegal "immigrants" who are invading our 'nation of immigrants!' By controlling the dialogue the pro-crowd has taken the issue out of our control, and placed it in the hands of those countries who are exporting their citizens. It is a form of psychological warfare, using propaganda as a support for illegal aliens, primarily from Hispanic and Latino countries, who are demographically overwhelming our country. It is propaganda meant to disarm Americans so that we will not resist the "human tsunami" of some 23 million illegal aliens that have already invaded and balkanized America, and continue to arrive at a rate of 10,000 per day. Unfortunately the pacification seems to be working, since most Americans, along with the media, have readily accepted the notion that 'we are a nation of immigrants' as being true and factual!
The 'New' Mantras
Insidiously, the pro-illegal alien crowd has already begun to move away from the term 'immigration' by calling it 'migration,' or 'migrant' instead of 'immigrant' in order to imply that there is some irresistible force of nature that impels them to illegally invade America. This is said in contravention of 'fact and truth,' because we all know that the 'migration' exists because of America's disgraceful governmental policy of 'open borders' and non-enforcement of immigration law. All of which are done in order to appease the desires of avaricious and dishonest employers and to pander to the Hispanic voter. The pro-illegal alien crowd hopes that we will make another leap of faith by concluding and accepting the new propaganda of 'migrant' and 'migration,' rendering "We the People" impotent once again!
The pro-illegal alien lobby believes we will continue to 'roll over' and accept any new terminology they stridently provide because we have never challenged their 'nation of immigrants' mantra! The pro-illegal alien crowd believes it has found us willing dupes in believing that our nation of native Americans descended of LEGAL immigrants is somehow equivalent to the ILLEGAL immigrants they support! They believe us dupes because we permit thousands of illegal aliens to clog our streets in protest DEMANDING their 'RIGHTS' when they are here in violation of our laws and should have no 'rights!' They should be in jail or deported, not 'aided and abetted' by police permits that allows them to flaunt their illegal presence in our streets which only serves to embolden them further. If we continue to be politely pc (i.e., politically castrated) and overly timid in challenging such propaganda and outrageous 'in your face' flaunting of our laws . . . we allow THEM to control the language AND the debate!
As it stands today, the American public is being shamelessly 'brainwashed' by the media and others, concerning the 18-20 millions illegal aliens that have invaded our country and continue to do so at a rate of 10,000 per day! By deliberately employing unspecified vagueness, and euphemistic substitutions such as, "immigrant (unspecified)," or "migrant (unspecified)" or "undocumented worker" they continually insult and offend their knowledgeable audience!
Why do you suppose there is such wide-spread use of these euphemisms? It appears to be a concerted effort by many to "put lipstick on a pig" as Tom Tancredo has famously iterated. It is simple way to cover up, disguise, and gloss over the massive illegal immigration invasion that is balkanizing our country. Sadly, it is being propagated and proliferated by the media, Hispanic groups, and politicians, including our president. It is particularly galling and egregious when those euphemisms are followed by the mantra: "After all we are a nation of immigrants aren't we?" The response to that comment is: Legal immigrants YES . . . illegal immigrants, NO!
What exactly is being implied by using terms like: "migrants" or "border hoppers" or "border crossers" or a "migrant watch" or "immigration opponents?" It seems a whole lot like saying:
a carjacker, is a "temporary owner?
a house burglar, is an "uninvited house guest?"
a thief, is someone who has "appropriated" your belongings?
a pick-pocket who uses your credit cards, is an "undocumented cardholder?"
a bank robber, is someone making an "unofficial withdrawal?"
We need to demand that our media stop being part of the cover-up. We need to encourage them to use the proper legal term of "illegal alien" or "illegal immigrant" or "illegal" (whatever noun they choose) when they report in the future. When Hispanic and Latino "activists" make the fallacious charges of racism, xenophobia and label someone as "anti-immigrant," the follow-up question needs to be: "is that anti-legal immigrant or anti-illegal immigrant?" This simple 'accuracy check' will go a long way towards framing the public conversation about this serious, important problem of massive illegal immigration and its impact on our country.
yeah ,,and since when is illegal alien an immigration status,,it is a federal offense
We have nothing better now to talk about than what we're going to call them? God help me the day I have nothing better to do than that.
EDIT: Hey, aren't you the same Hera who went back & forth with me in emails & then when you didn't like what I had to say you disabled your email? You are a coward. Fine example of a US citizen right here folks.
I don't know why and don't care, why do you?
Who cares, can't you come up with anything better?what is your point.
Thats the Media for you. They don't know the difference between black and yellow. It's a new word that someone like Fox news Bill Oreilly invented. You know what I mean?? Like there is going to be a rain event instead of just plain rain.
reason: they can sell more papers & make more money of you white people
alien: proper definition from dictiionary is as follows:
a creature from outer space; extraterrestrial.
immigrant: proper definition from dictionary as follows:
a person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence.
also, this country we calll the UNITED STATES was created by "illegal immigrants" coming to a new land from England, read your history if you forget how this country was created, the indians were here first and so were MEXICAN people, additionally the MEXICO owned a LARGE PORTION OF THIS COUNTRY prior to the UNITED STATES becoming an actual country, MEXICO WAS THE OWNER OF the present states of TEXAS, NM, AZ, CA, NV, UTAH, COLORADO, AZ., BUT THEN THE UNITED STATES wanted to expand and took these states by way of waging war against a peaceful country.
Do some reading....and by the way we do assimilate extremely well .... we all speak and write English fluently even though you might think we dont. And furthermore we have attended College/Universities here in the U.S., can you say that much for yourself or a major portion of the "white/black" population?
BROWN IS BEATIFUL....EL PUEBLO UNIDO NUNCA SERA VENCIDO/LA GENTE UNIDA NUNCA SERA VENCIDA!!!
THE HISPANIC POPULATION NOT ONLY MEXICANS BUT FROM ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD UNITED WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED!!! WE ARE HERE TO STAY!
Illegal immigrant is a more accurate term. They have immigrated to this country to live, as opposed to coming on vacation or on business or as a student. However they have not gone through the proper legal channels so they are illegal.
Most Americans do not like the pro illegal spin the media puts on illegal immigration. You will actually see the media try and candy coat things with words like undocumented worker, LOL that's like calling a burgler a uninvited house guest. They try and try but too many Americans are starting to wake up and see there quality of life turning third world. The hospitals, the schools, the roads, loss of jobs etc.
