I am gong to apply for the UK student visa. Guidance needed.?

I am from India and going to apply my student visa.
My family friend is going to sponsor me and my dad
s financial status is poor.

So I wanted to know that is it ok if only my family friend will sponsor me and not my dad.

Answer:
i hope ure family friend is really rich, because its going to cost a bomb to live in the uk!! especially as a student
anyway, ure question: yes, its fine to have your family friend be your sponser. you might just have to include your dad in the forms if they ask for ID or immediate family names, but your sponser can be ANYBODY. my cousin from India is coming over, and my dad (her unrelated uncle) is her sponser, so its fine to have anyone as long as they can definatly support you financially otherwise you will just get deported back. good luck with everything!!! :) x x
Your application for the visa must show that your family friend will be able to support your expenses in UK. Use only the data of your father for identification purposes.
Why don't you study in India there are fine universities there? Some of the U.K's top doctors graduated from Indian universities. If your family friend has to sponsor you and your father's finances are poor who is going to pay your tuition fees, accomodation fees and living expenses as people on student visas cannot work in the U.K. and if they do should get deported?
When I applied I had a letter from my bank saying I had enough money, and enough of a loan agreed, to support myself for three years. I don't think they'll care about the source so long as they are satisifed you won't run out of money and start working (which you cannot do on a student visa).
It is OK, but the Home Office must be convinced that your sponsor will pay for you throughout your studies - he will have to pay for you fees, accommodation, and living expenses. The Home Office will need to see good evidence that your sponsor has the resources to do this, ie lots of money in the bank and/or a healthy income. Of course, you also have to have a letter of acceptance from an educational institution recognised by the Home Office.

Contrary to what others have said, you will be allowed to work part-time with a student visa, but you cannot rely on this income in your student visa application.

Good luck.
You someone who sponsor you in england and thats it.By the way u should have some money in the bank that ensures that you have enough money for education over here.Good luck
Stay away.
Use your family friend.

But better still go to HK and study there since their education standards still are the same as UK (They have Open University etc...) And its much cheaper to pay HK dollars than GBP. I hope your family friend has millions of your currency because he will probs be broke at the end of it.
I see a lot of negative answers here plus some valid ones both issues are correct the real Question is Do you really want to have the hardships we have here or, do you feel we don`t have any hardships & that G.B. is the country to make your mark?Whatever you decide to do, Good luck you are going to need it.
