Why Mexicans let James Polk to steal their territory?

Please get your facts straight. After the Republic of Texas was annexed by the US, the Republic of Mexico invaded the sovereign territory of the State of TX, thus provoking the Mexican War. After losing the Mexican War and most of the territory which is now is the American Southwest, Mexico learned to honor its recognition of the Republic of Texas in 1836 signed by Gen. Santa Anna. Instead it, invaded the USA, and lost about 1/3 of its territory in battle because it went back on it word. It was Mexico was was trying to steal the American state of Texas and not vice versa! I am a 7th generation Texan who had family in the Republics of Mexico, Texas, and the USA.

NO stealing from usa, we paid $15 million dollars to Mexico govt for that land after we kick Mexico behind in the Mexican-American War.

America didn't steal anything. Americans paid 15 million dollars for Mexican territory. It isn't our fault that the Mexican government refuses to acknowledge that it was a purchase despite the fact that they got money out of it.

Maybe the southwest should be called Aztlan instead USA, so people can distinguish between a country and a continent.
However Mexicans are a high percent of American citizens, because they are here before any other immigrant.
