Is it required for an American to obtain a VISA to enter into Morocco?

Answer:
If you are going to Morocco to visit, your passport is fine. If you plan to stay more than 3 months you simply need to go to the local police and register with a valid reason for continuing you stay. You will be given a piece of paper that gives you permission to stay, and after one month you will receive a "Certificat D'Immatriculation" (a residency card) that is good for one year. After one year you go back and I believe the next card is good for 3 or 5 years (not sure which).
If you are planning to go to Morocco, contact the Moroccan embassy to find out about their visa policies.
