Do You Know California Is The Richest State In The U.S., Even With All It's Illegals??
Answer:
If you broke California down into regions the size of smaller states, it would not be the richest state anymore. Moreover, California has a horrible quality of life given crime rates and infrastructure problems. I would take South Dakota over California any day. Salaries may be lower, but so is the cost of living. People in South Dakota are hands down friendlier than Californians anyway.
By the way, there are illegal aliens in every state, including South Dakota.
Stop reposting this.
Lets see HIGH CRIME, BAD EDUCATION SYSTEM, BANKRUPT HOSPITALS, oh how I could go on and on...
Money doesn't solve all problems, leftist just think it does as long as all the money goes to the govt, and the people follow that govt like sheep
Maybe just because! ;-)
Illegals are killing the middle class people in California. The very rich, California has many, do not care about illegals, in fact they hire them and encourage more to come here while they increase their own wealth. The middle class pick up the tab for the illegals.
So that makes us more rich? We also have some of the largest government expenditure too... no thanks to social welfare programs.
I would *hope* we'd have a large economy when we have ~30 million people in our state...
Illegals are hurting California because they reep benefits that they do not pay for. It is called "mooching" or "abusing the system" and it should not be tolerated.
If not the richest very darn close to it The illegal there are only helping to make it richer.
we USED to be the 6th largest economy in the world. things are going DOWNHILL. how does THAT help your arguement???
California has the largest budget deficit.
It would have the 4th best economy if you snuff out those beaners.
Anybody with entrepeneurial income in CA has, or is in the process of, moving to Nevada or Arizona. They won't stick around and become plucked chickens, tax-wise, as CA transitions to a car-wash and leaf-blower based economy.
I wonder what it would happen if ALL these illegals dissapeared some day..hehe .Bye bye Cali!
Analysis of the latest Census data indicates that California's illegal alien population is costing the state's taxpayers more than $10.5 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration. Even if the estimated tax contributions of illegal alien workers are subtracted, net outlays still amount to nearly $9 billion per year. The annual fiscal burden from those three areas of state expenditures amounts to about $1,183 per household headed by a native-born resident.
Lets look specifically at the costs to the state for education, health care and incarceration resulting from illegal
aliens
The more than $10.1 billion in costs incurred by California taxpayers is composed of outlays in the following areas:
Education. Based on estimates of the illegal alien population in California and documented costs of K-12 schooling, Californians spend approximately $7.7 billion annually on education for illegal aliens children and for their U.S.-born siblings. Nearly 15 percent of the K-12 public school students in California are children of illegal aliens.
Health care. Uncompensated medical outlays for health care provided to the state's illegal alien population amount to about $1.4 billion a year.
Incarceration. The cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in California's prisons and jails amounts to about $1.4 billion a year (not including related law enforcement and judicial expenditures or the monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration).
State and local taxes paid by the illegal alien population go toward offsetting these costs, but they do not come near to matching the expenses. The total of such payments can generously be estimated at about $1.6 billion per year.
The fiscal costs of illegal aliens do not end with these three major cost areas. The total costs of illegal aliens to the state's taxpayers would be considerably higher if other cost areas such as special English instruction, school feeding programs, or welfare benefits for American workers displaced by illegal alien workers were added into the equation.
While the primary responsibility for combating illegal aliens rests with the federal government, there are many measures that state and local governments can take to combat the problem. Californians should not be expected to assume this already large and growing burden from illegal aliens simply because businesses or other special interests benefit from being able to employ lower cost workers.
This doesnt look like any place Id want to take my business to.
Im happy here in Arizona.
richest state >>>> http://blogmeisterusa.mu.nu/archives/139...
Imagine how much richer they might be if they didn't have to contend with the illegal issues. Big business in California has manged to take advantage of cheap illegal labor and profit from it. The secret to California's wealth lies in strategic location, it ports and business environment. All the same you can keep it.
They are not hurting a thing.
You need to seek the real facts and how much in debt they are because of all the people there that are not legal....Costlots of money to support a group or masses of people.
California was in better shape 20 years ago it is going down hill. California has the most fertile soil in America ( San Jauquin Valley) and it has the silicone valley (Bay area heart of Electronics) which has nothing to do with illegals. Illegals are hurting this country as a whole. Focus on America as whole next question please.
