I think thats a nice opinion of yours, but they just dont know that everyone is really an immigrant. Whites come from europe, and even before them, the native americans came from asia...so really everyone is an immigrant....

They come in here thinking that they are superior and have to learn their language. Also in areas where there are more immigrants, the crime rate increases.

It's the ones who are here without permissiom. I have a son, college grad, good background, smart as a tack, no record and law-abiding. He applied for a certain job, didn't get because an uneducated immigrant was needed to meet the hiring policy. Thats bull hocky and that what the repubs want. PERIOD.

Americans need to blame someone for their problems....it used to be the Italians, then the Irish, then the Asians. Last year it was the Arabs, this year it is the immigrants. Next year it will be some other socio-ethnic group.

Illegal immigrants = Crowded schools, roads, hospitals, diseases, drugs, crime etc.
Immigration is good, but if you saturate your country with foreigners you will not have a country for long.
Like a lot of people, you fail to successfully differentiate between two distinct phenomena: One is legal immigration, the process whereby people apply for and obtain citizenship by lawful means in the United States, and the other is ILLEGAL immigration, the means by which corporate types, foreign countries, and all their sympathizers et. al. have been systematically violating US immigration law for some time, now.
No one's saying that immigration, per se, is a negative influence, in fact, the opposite is true. But: As with all things, there is a balance to be maintained, and all such goings-on should be held up to a bright, bright spotlight with all of their facts on public display, so as to ensure the absence of criminality, subversion, or malice in such proceedings.
We live in a Changed World, and the assumptions and practices of 1905 may not be applicable in 2007, and beyond. Almost 6.7 billion people walk the earth today, with more on the way. They can't all live in the United States. We've gone into exponential replication of people, were we to maintain the rate of increase and double, or even triple the number of people in the world by 2100, the curve would literally be off of any chart you'd care to try to draw it on, and we'd be out of fuel and food long before we get there. I'm for managed growth, with plenty of public oversight over the whole business. Say 'no' to illegal immigration...
