Why do illegals think they work harder than Americans?

Because they willingly take the jobs that spoilt Americans think they are too good to do, like scrubbing pots for 12 hours a day in kitchens, cleaning toilets, and picking grapes in fields all day long.
I post Help Wanted ads all the time for basic ranch work. It's dirty, hard, and def not glamourous, but it pays $8 an hour plus breakfast and lunch. I might get a white boy or two show up, but they never last the whole day... "I thought a day meant until noon!" "I had plans for this afternoon!". They are lazy, they show up late, their work is half assed, and one worked a day and wanted to be paid for the whole week! The Mexicans get here ON TIME and work their butts off. I don't bother checking for green cards. I need someone who will work and I don't care what color they are or where they come from.

When you were little all you really had to do is wash some dishes and clean your room.
In Mexico kids work to feed their moms and dads when they can't work.
So they can secure their place here in the USA, in the hopes of not being deported back. They want to prove or say they prove they work harder thus they have a right to be here.

First most people who are in the US illegally are in fact Americans. But the answer to your question is that in large part they do work harder than people from the US. This is because they are working illegally and therefore work more hours and generally more physical work. They don't have those eight hour days with paid lunches and brakes. And they are often doing construction, heavy lifting, or harvesting which is all quite literally back-breaking work.

They work hard so they can go back home, I dont expect my fellow Americans to take on as many jobs since they are staying here. I dont know that they do. The ones I have been around dont work any harder than any one else and they were paid the same as everyone else. At least they did before they were deported.

They take up lousy jobs in the hospitality industry, which exploits them at a low wage. The maintenance of present-day laws on illegal immigration won't stop them from coming, because they leave out of a desire for a better life. They are really economic and political refugees. Many of them are victims of bad Mexican and American policy.
They will keep coming and keep working with the desire to learn English, send money home to their families, and bring their families over. If America can make a mess out of Mexico, it can also help the victims of its policies in its own borders by allowing them to stay.
Don't think the hospitality industry wants that. They do and they don't. You can't stop a flood that is already happening by putting up a dam. You can control it. They benefit from having illegals, and can fire them at any time. Not a lot of white upper-class kids from the suburbs want these jobs, which are essential services. The illegals can't go anywhere. Why do so many women, young people and immigrants end up in the hospitality industry? Economic, educational, cultural and linguistic barriers that are not addressed.
I hate the anti-immigrant mentality. Canada and America were built on the backs of immigrants. There is no 'white-man only' policy here. Think of the power you have over someone without an SSN, who doesn't live here, and can be sent back to lousy conditions or put in jail.
My employer is always on the lookout for hard working individuals who are willing to learn. So far, there is only a single Hispanic man that has lasted longer than the time it takes to get a single check. The type of work I do is difficult and dangerous if not done properly, you can be killed. We work in all weather conditions, 345 days a year. It is a good paying job, yet there are very few if any minorities willing to work as hard as this job demands.
There are many other employment areas which minorities arent willing to explore because of the dangers and the working conditions. Very few janitors get killed doing their job, they want something basically easy and safe. A waiter or busboy may have a job, but there is no excitement to it.
Frankly I have to say that I work pretty damn hard and my family has been here for six generations. I think working hard has nothing to do with what race you are, which is what this is asserting, and has everything to do with how you were raised to work and how much you have a desire to do so. In essence, working hard has to do with the joy you get out of it and the ethic you have towards it. There are many white citizens of this country that sit on their *** and don't do squat. I see them all the time.

A lot of them do work harder, & complain less then alot of our Americans, Most of them are doing jobs our welfare recepiants, refuse to do. Why are we so fast to blame aliens, for all thats wrong in our country, when, we have american citizens taking advantage of the system, by sitting on their butts & letting us working people take care of them & laughing at us about it? I find that in construction there are many that do very poor work! Oh, they labor good, but the desire and ability to do quality is lacking in many!
Then, have you ever considered what kind of work out effort our military demands of our nation's soldiers! Hard to win if you are not physically fit!

The children born to illegal alien mothers are immediately eligible for Aid To Families With Dependent Children - AFDC. Illegal alien mothers can and do receive even $2,000 a month in benefits - it depends upon how many US citizen children she has spawned.
San Diego has tried to force these illegal alien mothers to perform some kind of work to get this money. The illegal's present Modus Operandi is to have the checks mailed to a US Post Office box at the border and have someone collect the checks for them. In Mexico she can live like a queen on $2,000 a month. How well could you live on $2,000 a month…. in Mexico?
The City of San Diego government has discovered that trying to make these illegals work for their $2,000 a month is a federal crime! It is a federal crime to hire an illegal alien - so making these illegal aliens work for their welfare money is thus - illegal.

For the illegals to imply they work harder than Americans is not only a falsehood, but shows how racist they are. Americans aren't strutting around bragging about how much.. blah, blah. Whoever says Americans can't do certain jobs, is a puppet for the corporate World.
OMG, folks, can we stop the illegal bashing, already? Its not about who works harder, them or us, its about people who are willing to come to work for wages 4-5 times what they would make in Mexico (if they could find work at all). They are always going to come here as long as there are employers and corporations in the U.S. that are happy to hire illegals without any risk of being punished. Most of the illegals will go home voluntarily when the employers are duly punished, fined and/or imprisoned for hiring illegals. And not a minute before....
