I think the following excerpt clarifies the issues and describes how dangerous their embrace is.

This is what is happening to the West today. Europe itself could become a failed continent by importing the problems of Africa and the Islamic world. The notion that everybody should be free to move anywhere they want to, and that preventing them from moving into your country is "racism, xenophobia and bigotry," is the Communism of the 21st century. And it will probably lead to immense human suffering. [. . .]
Ideas matter. Individuals matter. Cultures matter. Truth matters, and truth exists. We used to know that. It’s time we get to know it again, and reject false ideas about the irrelevance of culture. We are not racists for desiring to pass on our heritage to future generations, nor are we evil for resisting to be treated as lab rats in social experiments on a horrific scale. The United States is a country founded on freedom. It is the most successful and greatest country in the world. Our enemies wish to subvert us and meld us into a world-wide egalitarian society where everyone is "equal" and no one is free. Some of our leaders are legislating in that direction. Our mainstream media are leading us in the direction. Our schools are indoctrinating our kids in that direction.
Our choice is simple: acquiesce, and watch our country deteriorate into shambles . . . or fight in every imaginable way to maintain and strengthen our freedom and our American way of life.

What makes this your country? So you were lucky enough to be born, good for you. Others don't have that luxury, but just because they were unlucky in where they were born doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed a chance. You're an idiot. You don't own this country. If we're going to go the way of whose country it is then we'd better be handing it back to the Native Americans. If you are a Native American good for you I guess you can stay. However if you aren't then I suggest your ancestors came from and head back there since you apparently don't deserve to live here either.
Can I just applaud you? That was incredibly well presented. Last year my daughters class had 12 hispanics, 2 blacks and 8 whites / asians. That is obsurd given that we live in Atlanta - largely considered to be the black meca of the U.S. We have had such an overrun of illegal immigration from Asia and Mexico that the school system had to open a special center with interpreters from 13 different languages. Our teachers are being bullied into learning Spanish! School newsletters are now bilingual for the parents to be able to read. Incoming kindergarteners must now be innoculated with Hepetitus and TB vaccines due to the poor healthcare in other countries. Who pays for all of this?
This is insanity. How is it fair to increase the burden of educating our youth by introducing an unchecked influx of undereducated children into the system?
I do not consider it to be racist or elitist to want there to be a system in place to control the flow of immigrants into our country. This is not just quality of life or property value issues. We are talking about safeguarding the health of our children and our citizenry.

Your exactly correct. I am fighting mad about it and have written the President and Vice President, all of my states congressmen. More than once. That is what I have done about it. And, if there is another push to get the "deal" passed, I will write again. It is the most ridiculous group of ideas I have ever seen in this country.
They last poll I read showed that 90% are against the "deal" as it is written.
Note to ! = I most certainly do own this country. Take a look at my tax form!! AND I refuse to continue to apologize for what happened 200 - 300 - 400 years ago. That is ridiculous!!

Your way of life? And what would that be? Only European ideals? What about all the Asians, Jews, Africans, Muslims and Latin Americans, who come to this country, legally? Those people with different cultures aren't allowed to celebrate there heritage? Sorry, but America is a great melting pot.People from all over the world come to this country and participate in the American experience.There are many hybrid cultures, like the Jews who celebrate passover, and of course the Mexicans who celebrate the day of the dead and many, many more.This country is a rich mingling of cultures, lets NOT change that.
A statement on UN. THe UN clear states that all visitors of a nation must follow the culture of the host nation and to obey their laws.
I would assume all immigrants must follow our laws and culture. That is the opposite of multiculturalism and it measn we can enforce our immigration law and force them to speak English. THe UN also frown upon one nation forcing their culture and laws onto another.
