where can i go to get it done?

Answer:
The US State Department issues passports. Many towns have either a post office or town office that serve as the local agent of that agency.

US Passport Services Office: http://travel.state.gov/passport/passpor...

Locations to apply:

How to get a passport (includes the paperwork you will need):

It costs $87 to $92. Rush passports cost extra.
First you'll need pictures. Some post offices will take your picture, but not all. And not all post offices will take your passport app, either. Cost is about $60 I think.
well first of all congratulations.......for your application to get a
passport you will need.....2x2 black & white pictures (2) of them
signed and dated......when you fill out your application at any post office or govt. office, filled out and signed, I believe witnessed
and ofcourse bring money.....cash, money order or certified check
anywhere to $100.00 the process will take as long as 4 to 6 weeks.
