Has the US and Mexico ever considered uniting?
It seems to me they are having problems with their government and need help. Is there anyway the US could help establish a good government in Mexico? Would Mexicans allow for such a situation to occur? Could America go in and do a complete reform and help reduce poverty and help rehabilitate crime? Or does that sound a little imperialistic? It just seems to me they need a fundamental overhaul of their entire system, as well as there has to be some unity achieved in order to have an acceptable outcome for everyone or some kind of agreement. What ideas do you have about this? Thanks.

the answer to the first is yes , Mexico and the USA had considered uniting . however considering and setting an agreement to do it are completely different things and that has not happened until now . i would like to explain that if it was to happen it would take as much as 20 years from the agreement to the goal to be accomplished , so the economical difference would be very likely resolved by then .
today what Mexico , Canada and the USA have are just agreements to make easier making business with each other and to help one another on the north American effort to combat terrorism , piracy and many other things which damage every American citizen and the world .
those agreements are important and would not be possible with out the help of each of the three countries . it is important to understand that if America wants to prevent a terrorist attack from ever happening in America the best thing America can do is to make sure that it has the support of Mexico and Canada and that both are able to help the USA . therefor the relations between the three are very important and essential in meeting this goal ...

i think it is an interesting idea. But imagine if you will how the 100 million plus Mexicans would vote in the next election. Is that something we are ready for? I mean, if Mexico gets voting rights, the next president may not even speak English.

The new state's economy would be so much lower than all of the other states it would never happen.
Unfortunatly they are working on it with the North American Union. Mexico, US and Canada. People aren't for it....many more are unaware of it ,but the big whigs are going ahead with the plans.
As long as the ruling class hold power in Mexico there is nothing anyone can do for Mexico. The whole country needs to change.Over 100 years still they have not advance very far.
It would be a really bad idea because we would have to pay for their universal education (which Mexico doesn't have) and their basic health care for the poor (which Mexico doesn't have). The biggest problem with illegal immigration to begin with is that they are swamping our schools and services, which no longer function well for our own people. This plan would institutionalize that problem.
