In Minnesota, policemen suddenly came down with MDR-TB. The cops caught it in their patrol cars when they arrested Illegal Aliens who coughed in their faces. Recently TB erupted in Portland, Maine, and Del Ray Beach, Florida.
The Queens, New York, health department attributed 81% of new TB cases in 2001 to immigrants.Apparently 66% of all TB cases coming to America originate in Mexico, the Philippines, and Viet Nam.
Leprosy now is endemic to northeastern states. There are leprosy clinics in New York City. Illegal Aliens & other immigrants brought leprosy from India, Brazil, the Caribbean & Mexico.

No my opinion would not change, this is one of the main reasons I am against illegal immigration, Legal immigrants go thru the correct process and has their medical screenings and criminal back ground checks. ILLEGAL aliens could care less about these procedures, not caring who they affect.

My stand on illegal immigration would not change. One because if the united states would do more towards helping them there would prolly be less of this TB and also because of them you are healthy they are the ones that put fruit vegies and all that on your plate. i bet you wouldnt be out there doing their job. Instead you would be trying to figure out a machine that could do your dirty job so that you wont have to get dirty. SO no it wouldnt change my stand on illegal immigration
Exactly! That is why we do have an immigration process. Several LEGAL immigrants go through this process and are screened for a reason. TB and so many other reason why illegal aliens should not be given amnesty; just because they are already here. I don't care, deport them. Cost is always brought up; I don't care, infectious diseases are on the tip of the ice burg on why illegals don't deserve anymore from the American people.
I am already as anti-illegal immigration as I think I can be and if my child caught TB because of illegal immigration, this would only serve to make me even more angry. I have, in fact, heard this many times in the news before now - that illegals are bringing back diseases that we had gotten rid of many years ago and, in fact, they are bringing back new medication-resistant strains of TB. This is just another in the long list of reasons why we have to stop allowing illegal immigration and deport all illegals in the US currently and stop even hinting at another possible amnesty. NO AMNESTY! DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS! SEAL THE BORDERS! ENFORCE OUR CURRENT IMMIGRATION LAWS!

Some illegal immigrant may have TB and some don't. So the legal status is not the problem. The school system and the laws that allows illegal immigrants to enter our schools are at fault. In California, legal citizenship is not a requirement to attend. So where does the real problem lie?

If you have all of that proof I think it is your responsibility to take it up to the White House and make sure it is given to your President. Oh that's right, TB and Leprosy don't come into the States by any other means but sneaking across the Mexico - U.S. border. These diseases don't come into the country with Mexican business people or Mexican tourists, they don't come in with tourists or immigrants from any other country in the world.
