Once physicians with J2 visas change to J1, does the maximum 7 year time go back to 0?

If I change from J1 dependet to J1 myself. Will the maximum time I can stay in the US go back to 7 years?

Answer:
Are you talking about the J-1 Alien Physicians? If so, it should not count towards your 7 years, because it is a different category. However, if you're applying for ECFMG, you should talk to an advisor because the rules are completely different than the other types of J-1 visas.
