Is granting legal status (to illegals) is fair to applicants to get their visa demand processed, overseas?
It seems that the illegals are much more intelligent than the applicants who chose the proper way to enter the US. Many people keep saying that the illegals was already here, so what about the applicants ( some have been waiting from eight to ten years) to get a visa via legal means. Who is causing the jamming?
If we legalized them ( thrust me) legal immigrants already here will face tremendous hardship . Wages will fall and everyone will be affected (laws of supply and demand)
Let's put it another way, a foreighn oil company proposes to sell gasoline 50% off its market value. Good for you but not for me! if we let that happen, everyone (somehow) will pay for the loss, (always at a hiher price)
no hate against those poor people that are looking for a better future but there is lways a price to pay for a path that we choose to follow. First we need a map to find the exits.

Yes, good question. Blah, blah, blah! Here's the fact. Illegal. I learned that illegal means criminal which means broken law and violation on society and punishment. If illegals can be granted immunity...then fair is fair. Criminals work in jail. Let them out too! Grant immunity to drug dealers and other criminals. It's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned. If you break the law you have to be punished! Get out! Get out! Go home! Good bye! What? What is the debate. I dont' see anyone debating the validity of any other criminal activity. In 1801 it was legal to have slaves. In 2007 it is not! Simple. It is not legal for the illegal immigrants to be here. They have broken the law they must get out or go to jail and they should be glad we Americans are not demanding monitary restitution. think about it. Them being here has taken money out of our economy. They should be deported and fined. Look at our health care system. They have free health care, free education, subsudized housing. What do you want. The ride is over. Get off, go to the end of the line and buy a ticket.
Yea, I agree that the illegals are way smarter than the applicant who chose the proper way. I file for my sister which is still in progress and now going on for 11 years. This country is a mess, the whole immigration system is a mess. I should have told my sister to fly to mexico then walk across the border since everyone is doing it.
No, it isn't fair.
NO! It's a slap in the face to those who want to be legal, respectable, citizens and I am confident that these people won't come in with hands out looking for a free ride, nor will they be the criminal element that is here now. I also believe these people will be hard workers and try to get along. I have no sympathy for these illegals at all!!! I don't care what hardships they suffer. The fact they are getting a free pass, while honest ones wait is deplorable!! I'm probably missing the point but i feel better!
No it is not fair, and concerned citizens in the USA are applying constant and heavy pressure on our Representatives to expedite legal applications, and deport illegals.
You are on the right course for the map. Follow where the compass takes you, and good luck.
Remember this, every us citizen who retires collects social security benefits whether they paid in for 30yrs. or 3 yrs. Now add 20 million new us (mexican) citizens to that and you have a 22 trillion dollar tax debt for our children to pay these people of which 90% have never paid into the system.
As a legal alien (immigrant), I begin to question the government regulations and the Immigration law about Visa of entry and Deportation. it took me almost a year and endless amount of money to pay for the fees and embassy visit to enter the US and to become legal, not to forget all of the interviews and the paperwork that need to be filed to get a visa. Someone who work without proper document and involved in crime were deported and can't return forever. Knowing that there may be 12 millions or more illegal immigrants will be granted legal status, it just unbelievable.
It's not fair for those who try to enter the country legally and for those who have been through so much to be here following all the immigration rules. It seemed like the government close their eyes and plugged their ears so they can say "it's the right thing to do" and let people bark their opinion. If the 12 M illegal immigrants are granted with legal status then immigration rules and regulations about deportation and illegal entry are only a written statement that meant to be broken.
