What are your thoughts on the rally in La for the two jailed border patrol agents ?

Answer:
I think it's telling that the counter protesters wear masks. I wish I was there. How do you counter protest the wrongful imprisonment of 2 border guards?, by desecrating the flag which is the symbol of our sovereign nation.
watch the video :http://youtube.com/watch?v=y9d-5avhtvm...
check out anything from AmericanResolve on Youtube, he is at the front line
Vegaswoman - for once we agree, thank you
Two border patrol agents are in jail for doing their job. Hopefully Bush will pardon them soon, this is an outrage and a miscarriage of justice.
yeah that's messed up ain't it.
Why shouldn't Americas protest on behave of Americans doing their lawful duty The protesters demonstrating for the illegals should b run out of the country
I think it is great that people turned out to exercise their rights to rally but a new trial is what needs to take place, not a pardon.
*edit* I am disgusted to see anyone desecrate our flag. I also think it is pretty cowardly to hide behind a mask.
I'm glad this happen, The main stream media only reports something when it is exciting. I think because the clash happen it received more press. Hopefully people who don't know about this will go a seek out more information and they too can put pressure on our government.
The LA Times (Illegals best friend) did report it but it is very watered down. It gave max 2 lines to the Agents.

Edit: slack action that video says it all!! Thanks for the link.
I think it's a good illustration of the controversy over the border issue, I think 2 or more decades of basically gross negligence on the issue of the US/Mexico border have left a HUGE mess,
and there's been more than a little help from some corporate entities to entice people to go ahead and break the law, and then there's the issue of Mexico basically not doing enough as a country to support its' own citizens, and god only knows what else has gone on across our border, they say the one guy got assaulted IN prison, which means you can start asking questions about the prison system, too, and Los Angeles has a 'mexican mayor' and I believe is a sanctuary city or whatever, so basically the whole business is what you'd call a Big Ugly. California is one of several states beset by a sizable illegal immigration problem,
and it seems as though everyone's standing around, waiting for someone else to take some initiative, and do something positive and effective about it.
I think the most postiive answer possible would be to reinforce the US/Mexico border, as called and allowed for in the Treaty of Guadalupe, and start working with Mexico to foster more economic development, so that their economy can expand to the point where their citizens are employed, so they can afford to build schools, roads, hospitals, and other infrastructure, and turn their country into a profitable and even prosperous place to live, where there's other sources of income besides tourist traps and crime. Do enough of that, and they can turn around and start helping their neighbors to the south, too. But, it all starts with the people, the people of Mexico, and they have to want to work together towards a common goal, instead of just saying 'the hell with it, we'll all just move to the United States' etc., because Mexico DOES have the potential to provide its' citizens' needs.
So, the protestors are just a symptom, the real problem is in Mexico, but nobody wants to deal with it directly(maybe because that'd be the end of the excuses?), so we get to watch the soap opera unfold in our country, instead....I do like what Mr. Calderon has said, he wants to build something like 2,500 schools all over Mexico, he's talking about turning back part of his salary to do it, asking other officials to do the same, time will tell what transpires...
Folks, I am for a secure border just as much as the next guy, but come on. They shot the guy in the back. How were they in danger at any time?

I think its a waste of their time. If the agents had been following laws, they wouldnt be in jail, government officials should always be held to a higher standard. That is how we keep from having a corrupt government. We dont want racist border patrol killing or shooting families. The punishment for the illegals does not fit the crime.
release the border patrol agents. we need them on the border doing their jobs, not in prison.
Why is it there can never be any rally for anyone who is standing up for anything that has a slight edge against illegal immigrants that they don't show up masked-up and desecrating our flag and flying the Mexican flag? They aren't going to report which side it came from......but I could take a pretty profitable guess.
If you really follow this story it is so full of cover-ups it's not even funny.......they need to let these guys go. I've never seen such a crooked fiasco. Below is a link for new info concerning this case. The plot thickens......
Wouldn't be a need for a rally had these GOVERNMENT agents followed protocol.
That being said......I too think another trial is needed......in light of a few discriminating facts.
Too bad there weren't more people there but I think it is great.
To "meat" - the agents didn't shoot the illegal alien criminal "in the back" - the drug smuggler was shot in the BUTT as he ran away. They though he might have a gun.
To "Mendi8a" - they were following the laws
I am really sick of people spreading LIES when it comes to these two HEROES. They hear the lies from the government, spin it to really fit with their pro-illegal alien thinking, and pass these false statement on like they are fact. It is disgusting!!!
