If The Topic of Immigration is About Respecting Laws then Why Don't We Americans Respect Treaties?

Do you know how many Americans are illegally living on lands that are supposed to be for Native Americans? Do you know How Many agreements (treaties) we have broken?

We are the biggest violators of law when its comes to immigration. Respect the treaties the so called
fore fathers made then maybe we won't sound so hypocritical.

We are currently breaking laws all over the United States
so if we don't respect the laws and treaties of Natives why
should we expect anyone else to act differently?

Answer:
Very hypocritical. Watch all the antis say "that was a long time ago who cares" How about the native americans?
That's weak! try again.
Explain the Casino's on reservations throughout America.

I wouldn't worry to much about the poor American Indians, matter of fact if you were one there would be a good chance you would receive income from the reservations activities.
The Indians were guilty of violating the treaties as often as the Americans. The treaty of Fort Laramie in 1868 required to Indians to stop attacking settlers. They continued to do so. When Custer attacked th Sioux on the Washita they found scalps, clothing and even a diary of a murdered girl.
Later Frank D Baldwin also raided an Indian camp and liberated the Germain sisters. The family of the Germain sisters were murdered.
So Indians accusing the US of violating treaties is the pot calling the kettle black!
Would you like to answer some of those questions? I don't believe there are any disputes outstanding considering the settlement of Native Americans. If you have information about any, please post links to that information, not just opinion.

In any case, the fact that some people break one law does not negate the force of others.
Dude - get a life. Go cry in your milk somewhere else. the native americans are doing just fine for themselves. in fact they are making quite a bit of money of the white mans greed. so its time to let history stay where it belongs - in the past..
i have enough native american in me to qualify for mineral rights and even i say live in the present
American Indians are not poverty stricken. My nephew get money (lots, by the way) from oil and other things that the tribes share. If you want to live in the past, build a time machine and good luck on your journey!
I would like to point out that there is a difference between laws and treaties. Treaties are agreements, like you said, between governments. They don't prohibit individuals from choosing to live with the Native Americans, just like they don't prohibit Native Americans from moving off of their land. Laws, on the other hand, apply to individuals, and do prohibit certain activities, and prescribe certain courses of action.

I think it's sad that there is still so much racism when it comes to the Native Americans. Why can't we let history be. Learn from it, but move on to the present. Native Americans are U.S. Citizens, just like anyone else here from birth, or who were naturalized, and they access to everything that any of the rest of us do. Why should they get "special treatment" or be limited to their reservations-many of which are more destitute than some third world countries?
Name one treaty that the US has broken in my lifetime. (I was born in 1972).

You can't, so shut the heck up.
Because your government seems to enjoy bending laws everywhere... friends or enemy's; home or overseas...
Please call your congressman to ask your government to "quit rapping" Europe's airspace borders... I'll really appreciate it.
Robert there is a lot of injustice in this world and its not right but we have it good here did you know that the poorest person in the United States is in the richest 5% of the worlds population and only 50 % of the worlds population has made or recieved a phone call in there life time? If we want to keep it that way we have to continue fighting for it.
We made them, we can break them.
BUILD THE FENCE
Robert: Our country has indeed broken treaties and not kept their promises to the American Indian. I have Cherokee ancestors, and KNOW the government treated them badly. This is an example of wrong-doing of our country to it's citizens.

The failure to guard our borders and enforce immigration laws is another example of our country doing wrong to the Citizens of The United States. Our ancestors suffering, hard work, fighting in wars for America and payment of taxes for generations is the reason this country exists...the politicians and illegal aliens are not why we have a USA. If citizens don't pay income taxes, our assets are seized and we might even be jailed. If citizens use false identification, we are charged with a felony and put in prison. If we go to the hospital or doctor and have no money, we must pay the bill or we will be sued. The same fates do not await illegals sneaking across our border. The laws are ignored and working citizens of America are made to pay with their tax dollars for their schools, hospital care and other social services.

There is but one reason for the injustice of both the broken treaties with American Indians, and the failure of our government to enforce immigration and employment laws. That reason is the greed of the rich and powerful. Employers greatly benefit from ridiculously low wages they pay the illegals. Our politicians do not care how wrong it is to harm the citizens of America and future of the USA. They benefit from the rich. We must speak up to make this injustice known.
Native Americans have their own reservations, and I don't know one American who is living on it.
