Are Mexicans ,Native Americans too?

Answer:
Define a mexican?
Is it one who lives in Mexico?
Indios?
Decendents of Spanish stock?
Blacks?
In Mexico there are more native tribes, blacks and people of mixed ancestry than Spanish blood.
The so called Spanish Mexicans have always been a minority in Mexico.
For that matter define Native americans?
Native Amerians if used to bunch the original peoples before white invaded and lived from Canada to Tiera Del Fuego then yes they are Native Americans.
This bunching by the ruling elites is done by them to control not differentiate. In the United States we have Sovereign Nations of differing so called Indian stocks yet we call a Souix, Yakima, Cherokee all Native Americans.
WHY?
Could it be to minimize their independence, the Great White Father looking after his children?
If Native American was trul meant to be all inclusive of Americas the white elite would be the minority and by the way it is going they will be even in the United states within 40 years.
that does not mean life will still not be run by finacial tyrants, as a peoples race is no hinderance to human propensity towards greed.
Not if they chose to live on the south side of the Rio Grande after the Mexican-American War ended. After that war the USA gave any of those Mexicans living north of the border the opportunity to stay or go south. Some chose to stay, they then were American. Those who went south were Mexican. The descendants of those who went south are the ones crying now "You 'stole' our land, waa, waa, waa!" ~Tuff stuff. One, it wasn't stolen. Two, you can't just waltz in here and squat, no squatters rights HERE. Three, you come here illegally, it's against the law and you can be deported.

No "Mexican" is an "American". You can't be loyal to two countries equally. Either you are Mexican (should be in Mexico) or you are American (should be in USA).

MB..KMA

We are not "United Statesians", you idiot. We are known WORLDWIDE as Americans. Our name is derived from our 'country's' name, as is most other people from other countries. Mexico=Mexican, Peru=Peruvians, Bolivia=Bolivian, Canada=Canadians. There are many 'countries' in North America. But those people are not called AMERICANS. Only the citizens of the United States "OF" AMERICA are called Americans.

They say ignorance is bliss. Are you feeling blissful? LOL!

LMAO!! You wouldn't have to attack every person who answered your stupid question if their answers didn't make you finally 'think' about it. Can't take the truth, huh, MB?

Some good advice: PMIGBOM
Nope, they are Mexican nationals.
Yes most are Indians too look at them.
Mexico is in the process of becoming something of the 52'nd state.Help us out here, petition for statehood.Mexicans have certainly fought for it.
Yes they are. They are native to America, because Mexico is apart of North America.
No, they are of Spanish/South American decent. Native North Americans were not Mexicans, there genetics traveled through a different route.

They can be in their country.
U.S. Indians Don't Like Illegal Aliens.

Mexicans are not U.S. Indians. U.S. Indians don't like Mexican Indians. They still talk of when Mexicans indians used to come north and attack U.S. indians. Mexican indians were extremely violent. They would rip out hearts of living people and wear the skins of people they killed.

Watch "WARRIORS: NATIVE AMERICAN VIETNAM VETERANS". Indians talk about fighting Mexicans indians.

Geronimo attacked Mexicans after they killed U.S. indians.
His account: "Late one afternoon when returning from town we were met by a few women and children who told us that Mexican troops from some other town had attacked our camp, killed all the warriors of the guard, captured all our ponies, secured our arms, destroyed our supplies, and killed many of our women and children. "..... "Over the bloody field, covered with the bodies of Mexicans, rang the fierce Apache war-whoop" http://www.nativeamericans.com/geronimoh...
Technically they are native. What's your point? Are you saying because they have native blood they are U.S. citizens by blood? that doesn't make sense. Nationality and ethnicity are 2 seperate things.

OK, say you're a Polish bowler. Just because someone is Polish doesn't mean they are on the bowling team. got it?
unless they can trace their ancestors back to Native Americans, then no.

and before you start calling the rest of us not native, i and most people i know have native american blood in us. just because i don't live on a reservation does not mean i am not native.
no. They are not. They are native to the lands south of the jurisdiction of America and therefore not Native Americans. Sounds like a poor attempt at semantics to justify the invasion and denigration of America.

Doesn't saying anything about being a nomad or any of the other silly things you said.

What is your point anyway?
Actually, all "native" peoples (including mexicans, indians and eskimos) come from Asian peoples that crossed a land bridge from Mongolia/Asia into what we call Alaska, and travelled down as far as South America. Some time later, Samoan descendents came by boat to the pacific side and bred with the south american natives. There are also some reports of egyptians that came to the atlantic side and bred with the Incas - hence their knowledge of calendars/pyramids/and they way they look.

Only in the past few hundred years has any spanish or english or french or portuguese blood has been introduced!
They may be natives (other than the land bridge bit) of NORTH America, but not of America. We know which tribes were here when the borders of our country were set, and the tribes that straddled the Mexican border got special provision.
that is a part of history. they are Americans, this was their land and still is. they are the rightful owners of this land. your going to pisss a native off real bad one day and they are going to pull a whip as s on you bandit. leave them alone. why the hate and racism?
Many Mexicans are Native Americans from different tribes, others are Spaniards and some are all mixed up!
There are three kinds of nomads, hunter-gatherers, pastoral nomads, and peripatetic nomads. Nomadic hunter-gatherers have by far the longest-lived subsistence method in human history, following seasonally available wild plants and game. Pastoralists raise herds and move with them so as not to deplete pasture beyond recovery in any one area. Peripatetic nomads are more common in industrialized nations traveling from place to place offering a trade wherever they go.
As far as who is classified as Nomads---Roma (Gypsies)
Kalderash
Gitano (AKA Cale)
Manush (AKA Sinti)
Romnichal
Irish Travellers

Native Americans did set up resident often for years so no they were not nomads. Unless the resources were gone they stayed.

Are Mexicans, Native Americans too, you asked---no if their Native American than they are not Mexicans (their Native American) and visa versa. They are what they are- no more no less.

That's right - their different.- Nice try though. I am sure some could debate the question---as far as I see now the answer is no I would like to know how some would even think that.
of course they are. (as much as i get tired of hearing the argument that we are the "United States of" America) it is true, America is the continent. if they are native to the Americas they are native Americans.

But not only that, many American indians (of the US) mixed with those who are now Mexico.

Many tribes like the Apaches are from near the US Mexico border, and would likely have members on both sides.

There have been ties found between the members of indigenous tribes in Mexico and those in the US. For example the Mississippian indians of Illinois had the same traditions and both worshiped the sun. There have been books published stating that the Mayans may have traveled north (when thought to have died out) and become this "new" tribe. Or that a relative of both tribes may have taught traditions and religion to both.

Lets not forget the theory that they are not 'Native' to America at all, since they supposedly came from Asia.

In short, yes they are the most native of us all.
Only if they are enrolled in a Federally Recognized tribe. But if you follow another method of thinking(which I find funny) anyone born in America could be considered Native American. However, it is all about the bloodline.. so, actual tribal members I would say NO!
It really depends. Since America consist of two big @ss continents and central America, I guess the Native people of Mexico (before the Spanish arrived) are Native Americans. However, in the USA Native Americans are considered people who are a member of an Amerindian reservation in the USA. You also have to prove your "blood quanta" or Indian heritage in the USA to qualify for any federal grants. It's all about the money. A lot of Mexicans are Natives by blood, but the USA government isn't going to allow Mexicans to profit off of their Native bloodlines. And anyway, a lot of Mexicans consider themselves white on the US census but only a few consider themselves Indian, even when they look like full-blooded Indians. Why is that?
Mexicans are native to the North American Continent.Just as all others are.that were born here.are.(and not all "natives" were nomadic in nature) You can be native American and not be of Indian ancestry. Native has many meanings .
I am a native American too.I was born within the boundaries of this Continent also..as were my ancestors except the ones that came here in 1702 from Germany.

And the reason for you question is ......?
