Why can't I get an answer.?
I have gotten the run around all morning. One person even had the nerve to tell me that it wasn't my business. Isn't it my business what is going on in my community?
Do I not have the right to know what is being done in my community?
Who would be the best person(s) to call to find this information?
Answer:
It is most certainly your business.
And you most certainly have the right to know. It is also your right to question what and how it is being done.
Start with the information person and go up the food chain. Keep a list of names for everyone you speak to. Let them know that that list will be forwarded to your local paper for publication. And then write an article for the editor of that paper. Carbon Copy everyone you can think of.
Squeaky Wheel! :)
PS-Sanctuary Cities are voluntarily VIOLATING FEDERAL LAW.
The mayor. He depends on your vote to remain in office.
The city council as well.
Your state elected officials.
The Chamber of Commerce.
If they refuse to answer your questions, send letters to the editor of your local newspapers.
Also, file for documents under the Freedom of Information Act.
I don't know where you live, but I live in a "sanctuary" city, Houston.
Our law enforcement's hands are tied when it comes to enforcing any laws regarding illegal aliens. That comes from way up the food chain.
Try G Duhbya. He's the one who wants them all to stay.
That of course, depends hugely on where you live...

I bugged the mayor and city council.
Having the nerve to tell you it wasn't your business...that would have gotten me all fired up. Anything that affects your tax dollars and community is your business--you pay for it.
Did you try your city council and mayor? Good luck.
Because they don't wan't to say nothing.
If you liv in L.A., our mayor would welcome them with one hand and screw them over with the other. He does a lot more welcoming, but he really doesn't care about them wither. He's more for himself than anyone else.
I wish I knew a phone number to give you, I'd call them too. You have every right to know what's going on in your community. Unfortunately the mexicans seem to be taking over and there's nothing we can do about it.
Call all of your elected officials and the organizations that are against the illegals, they'll have all of the information you need.
This called the " what about me " stage. It also the blaming game for your problems.
It is Federal law.
Start with Senator's office.
Mayor might be interested but really can not do anything.
You might also want to do google search on finding organizations which share the same views as yours.
cincy-whiner,thanks for the lesson. Seems like I am always learning something on this site . The truth hurts worst than name calling.
