Yeah-I read that on Yahoo, too. I kind of agree with him, but why did he even speak out? I oppose it because: 40% of the illegals enter by plane or bus; most of the rest enter on "day passes" in places like El Paso, Yuma, Calexico, San Diego, etc. The number who cross the harsh desert of Arizona or the mountains of New Mexico is tiny. It's not cost effective. BTW-has anyone ever heard Congress talk about the cost versus the benefits? I didn't. If we build a 6 foot wall, why doesn't "Juan" just build a 7' ladder? I do not think this was well thought out. There are areas in the mountains where building a wall is almost impossible (Southern New Mexico). I know engineers can do almost anything, but is the cost worth it? I mean, how much is a bus ticket from Mexicali to Calexico with a 1 day tourist visa?
