Did you see that thing recently about the building of a new motorway in Poland with EU money. Apparently they got the survey calculations wrong and when they built the motorway staring at different points, it didn't meet up in the middle, they messed it up. My I did I laugh.
I have obviously met a few now and there's no doubt that they are generally here to work, but somewhere along the line it must upset the balance, you can't have so many people people arriving a such a short space of time and have no effect. Only time will tell.
And I know many hard working, friendly, charming people from Poland who are no trouble at all.
They have very good well trained electricians and heating engineers for your information unlike most lazy basterds from over here who down tools at 2 o,clock on a Friday and stop drinking some time Sunday lunchtime...
They are not Poles.

A lot of major supermarket and other distribution warehouses now employ a lot of Poles (and a smaller number of Czechs, Slovaks Latvians, Lithuanians etc)
As a truck-driver, I have spent endless hours waiting to load or unload at these places, but just before Christmas, I was working at a site where perhaps 70% of the night-workers are now Polish.
The most striking thing was the fact that I didn't spend half the night waiting around sitting on my hands. Instead, the loading and unloading was done quickly and efficiently, with the minimum of delay. In pervious years, I have waited anything up to 6 hours.
The previous year, I was working at a major mail-order warehouse: again largely staffed by Poles. Not only were they hard-working and very efficient, they never got angry, never threw fits (no matter how much pressure they were under) and always found time to be cheerful, charming, interesting, often well-educated and courteous.
Compared to the ill-mannered misfits and rubbish humanity I've had to endure over the years, I can't help but think that the Poles (especially) are the best thing to have happened in recent years.

aa a child of polish grandparents and a polish mother there is nothing wrong with the Poles they are polite hardworking and if enough come here instead of a Muslim state we could have a Polish state (eventually taking over the world). i didn,t hear the british moaning during the battle of britain when the Polish pilots had to save the day!!!!!!!

not a football team. these people r coming by the boat load besides taking our jobs and working for nothing, there taking the jobs that the kids would of done IE posting leaflets and posting free papers. And then take all the money they get back to Poland and the rest of eastern Europe.
while i was not born in poland- i am counted in the census there. it is very sad that poland has become a wasteland for the undesirables of the eu. ad to everyone who is making jokes about 'poles' lay off-noone's making fun of your nationality!
