The parents were illegals.
Doesn't it seem reasonable if the rules are being tweaked that next year everyone from around the world will rush to the US for a chance of prize $.....?
It was very charitable for Toys R Us to give to all 3 babies...............but I believe the rule was parents were to be US residents...........not illegals!

If the contest required the babys parents ot be american citizens than it should end there. she wasn't. most conmtests require you tobe american, or dutch or mexican or chinese to win in those countries ect,.The baby shopuld never have been allowed to be enmtered in the first place.
i would think the illegal parents are the anchor attached to the chain. if they are not legal and toys r us stipulated they had to be legal to qualify. then they don't deserve the money. I'm also happy to see at least one American company sticking up for Americans and legal citizens. kudos to toys r us.

I just saw on Nightline that they reversed their decision and decided to award $25,000 to all three babies. I guess that was more cost-effective to them than a possible law suit (even if they won, the legal costs would far exceed $75,000 most likely), or the loss of revenue from Chinese customers and others sympathetic to their point of view.
Personally, I think Toys R Us should have stuck to their guns. I think they'd find that as many people who stopped shopping there would be replaced by those who are sick of their tax dollars being used to support illegal immigrants and being bullied by their agenda too. I know I would have.
