American voters won't want amnesty in 08 either. If you are waiting for amnesty, you might as well go home. It isn't going to happen.
.Pointing out to you that the Congress is already controlled by Democrats is pointless I presume. This isn't a republican or democrat issue. It is an AMERICAN issue.
And the American people spoke LOUDLY to their elected officials who--albeit amazingly--listened to us and responded to our position.

Better yet, name one Democrat in Congress that is not a millionaire or close to becoming a millionaire.

Democracy is very much alive, the government actually listened to the people of the nation this time and didn't let the bill pass because the people didn't want it to.
