I'm working in the States on A-2 visa and got an H1B offer. Can I obtain H1B while maintaining my A-2 visa?

I've been working in the States on A-2 visa as Network Administrator for an embassy (not my home country embassy) for six years. Few companies are willing to sponsor my H1B and consequently, Green Card. Can I obtain H1B while maintaining my A-2 visa? I'm willing to surrender my A-2 once I start working on H1B.

Also, if the answer to the previous question is yes, then I have another question. If the company files for my H1B in April then can I obtain EAD to work until I get the visa in Oct?

Answer:
How could you have an A-2 visa when you clearly state that the embassy that you are working for is not your home country??

A-2 Visa is for Accredited Officials, not in the diplomat category, representing the national government traveling to the U.S. to engage in official activities of their government

Or

Immediate family members of A-2 diplomatic visa holders

From just what you have written - you are not legally here NOW!
If you don't have any document on hand that you can show you can work on EAD then you can't you have to wait to get the another one H1B get a vacation in mean time I guess...But just wait for the other one unless you have a legal permise document that you can do that...Just do the right thing...Ask the Lawyer Inmigration laws changes alot
