It can be resolved peacefully and I hope it is. However, there is no reason to compromise. These people are breaking our laws then insisting we change them to suit the lawbreakers? No, I don't think so. We can make immigration easier but I think what we really need is to make our immigration laws reflect those of the countries around us. That would be fair.
No matter what, the illegals have to leave and come back legally if they qualify. Nothing less is acceptable.
I do not want a violent solution, that is the worst thing that could happen. However, the threat of violence from those illegally here is a great way of assuring there will be violence. And the losers are pretty much guaranteed to be the illegals.
I am confident that it will resolve peacefully. I do not believe that the majority of Americans are filled with rage and anger against illegal immigrants. I believe the majority would like to see a reasonable and humane compromise.

Based on the backwards, totally corrupt way that the government (both parties) in this country is operating, it will probably resolve peacefully...with the country flooded with illegal immigrants.
Why would those darlings in Washington want to let this happen? Because the more lower (or simply un-) educated people that comprise the electorate, the more likley that those prostitutes (politicians) can go on raping the public financially, and totally ruin the freedoms that were fought for hundreds of years ago.

well there always is a conflict between them but i think it can be resolved peacefully..of course if you mean illegal immigration. but i do not deny that in some cases violent actions might be taken that may not be proper. but not openly. i can say that.

Government officials went into meat packing plants in the Midwest and put people on buses. Husbands & wives left kids at day care and at schools because they werent allowed to call ANYONE to let them know what was going on. The last time that happened was WWII to the Jews.
This may not be violent but it is far reaching in its effects that the average American is blind to. I fully believe that most Americans see "Illeglas" as rapists, thieves, gangsters, and drug dealers.

With all the anti Latino feeling that has been created by this issue, I believe that some violence is eventually going to erupt. I know, I know, it's only against illegals but many of us Latinos don't take it that way when you start talking about how "filthy" and "poor" our countries are and how we as Latinos are good-for-nothings. You know, we are getting tired of it since A LOT of generalization has been going on against us. If this problem doesn't get solved quickly, either by mass deportation, amnesty, or whatever, violence is definitely going to be a serious problem. The tension is getting stronger and stronger every time, and the things are eventually going to snap!
Not that I want this to happen, It's actually something really scary when I think about it... God keep us from having to go through this!
It could be solved without a problem if the government would follow and enforce its own laws against illegal entry into this nation.But because it has not and so far will not do so ,there could very well be a violent reaction to granting the illegal alien amnesty.We are quite capable of violence when pushed too far.The first answer person lives in a dream world.I live in Arizona and I listen to what people are saying and what they say they will do if necessary,if amnesty is granted.Theses are real people that face the problems brought by the illegal alien invasion into our state.People are tired of our government doing whats best for Mexico and not whats best for America.I wouldn't be the least surprised by violence in many sectors of the country.
I only know that here in AZ we are ready for anything..I of course do not want violence but we are prepared for any eventuality.
I can only hope that there will not be a blanket amnesty.The people of the southwest are really tired of the illegal alien being catered to. And the Hispandering going on by our government.Yes I know there are other illegals than just Hispanic,but we don't see many here in AZ that aren't.

There is a lot of anger in the USA about this. I do not like the idea of illegals being here. I dislike how many AMerican legal enthusiasts are doing all they can on some kind of agenda they have (LaRaza and the like) to overtake the States by encouraging illegal immigration etc.
The long and short of it though, is that this issue is really and issue between the American people and it's governement. We have been as a people tyranized. This tyranny will turn sour and into violence. Yes, the poor Hispanic ditch digger is going to lay bleeding but for only a chance to work. Many of us will be as well but only to have a government that did what it was supposed to. We have arrived at a time where technology, misrepresentation by media sources and the all too human lust for money has come to a climax and the cry for all is what is more important. A balanced quality of life ...or a life of degradation for billions as a few profit and ruin it for everyone else?
IF you have any doubt about this, ask yourself the question: Is is appropriate for one CEO to make millions of dollars annually, when all below who make that possible from buyers, to makers to investors, eak by on pennies or even loose money and watch the quality of their lives degrad?

I AM FILLED WITH RAGE!!!!!!! The only ones that are not filled with rage are the politicians and the minority (pro-illegals). Why do you think the fence bill was finally passed - because people were so angry that the politicians were afraid for their jobs.
I would hope that the issue will be peacefully resolved by the government enforcing our laws and getting rid of the problem - that doesn't mean amnesty. However, I doubt that will happen. The illegals will FIGHT for their so called "rights" in any way they can. BTW, they don't have rights.
