Why dose not the mexican want to citizens of the Usa and melt in with our cultures and way of life?

In my opinion, it's because they haven't been forced to. I don't mean physically forced to. I mean, that when my great-grandparents came here, they didn't have a choice. There was no Italian lobby. There was no Italian-English bilingual education. There were no government forms in Italian.
Liberals and politically correct (and now George Bush) have allowed them to remain separate by making them believe they deserve special treatment. By letting them believe that this land is their birthright. By allowing them to live here illegally off my tax dollars. I've never seen a more egregious sense of entitlement as I have with the illegals and their supporters.
Do you mean how come the Mexican immigrants do not want to melt with the U.S cultures? Or the other way around?
I think some Mexicans strongly believe in preserving their culture and heritage. I can understand that, but I think that if they prepare to immigrate (legally) then they should adapt to some norms of American society. They can keep and practice their cultures in their home and own time, but they should be knowledgeable of US customs.
Why do the Mexicans not want to assimilate to American culture? They don't feel they have to because we're known to be a melting pot.

The Mexican government doesn't want their citizens to assimilate into American, they want to keep them tied to the practice of the wealthy controlling the wealth both in Mexico and the USA. Why do you think that the Mexico government has set up over 50 Mexican Consular in the USA, 10 in both Texas and Californian. Why would Mexico have more concern about the right and concerns of their citizens here in the USA while they are giving them maps to cross to greener pastures, the answer is greed. The wealthy in Mexico are not satisfy to control 100 of Mexico with only 2% holding the wealth and power, the have long range planning and the USA is their goal.

This is a wonderful question and I completely agree with you. They have no interest in being American, they want to turn us into Mexico Part 2. It's bad enough that the menu at McDonald's is in half English and half Spanish, same thing when you get an automated response on the phone. You have to press a stupid button to continue speaking in English. They're taking over and it's not right. I wouldn't go to another country and announce I'm an American, kiss my butt and bow to my way of life. No, I would do whatever they did there to fit in. They need to make English the official language and then in force that. Lets all go to Mexico to live and then demand they start speaking English, they'd never go for it, but we're suppose to? OK, now I'm just getting angry.
