I've noticed many people on here telling people to go and fix their countries instead of immigrating to the
I know I have.
Answer:
I find that admirable. Now, turn thoughts into actions. It will take more than just one person to make changes. It is what we do here, to try to change things. And it sure beats breaking the law to get into another country.
What I have seen expressed on MyTend.com es is don't come here illegally and expect to be treated like a citizen. If you don't like us speaking English, live with it. If you think you need our welfare and food stamps, and housing programs, and you demand them after coming illegally, then you have the problem.
I doubt that many Americans would deny all immigration to the US. But since we can't take in every needy person, in every country, then there has to be a line.
So, make changes in your own countries. The US sends billions in aid to other countries, but the people who live there need to look around and see what needs to be fixed, and then get other people to help get that change made. I find that a good thing to do.
You sound like a forward thinking person. I hope that you do find ways to do just that. And that you inspire others to do the same. Maybe we will see you making history.
good for you, what have you done so far
Its easier, to take what someone else has already fixed.
A lotta people stay in their countries and are trying to fix it. Specially those who have got a good education. But since these guys see so many people here they think theres no one there to make things better which its totally not true.
But you gotta understand that the majority of the world its poor, specially in third world countries. So they always think they may get a better shot somewhere else.
I've also wondered if those who say, we can't change the country we came from, have ever tried. ------- I grew up being told, don't say I can't, until you try.
most first nations Americans know, most people in the US are illegal aliens, who came and stole the land for it's rightful inhabitants..now they say this land is full..you go home..I agree you all go home.
Yes I have. I think that would be a good step for our government to take. How to fix what is wrong in Mexico.
About the only thing most of us can do to fix our country is to be the best self we can be. Make a contribution to society.
If you want to immigrate to the US, please do so legally, and I, for one, will welcome you.
even the people of Venezuela are standing up for their rights...it may just be to watch the informative tv channel of their choice, but it's a good start
Probably not a lot. Much easier to leave illegally and be in a country that used to do well for itself. Much to lazy to stay in their own countries and fix the problems there.
that's right, they need to fix their own country instead of trying to take over another that has no problems with it's system. ig they don't like the way the USA is, then they need to get out.
if they had they wouldn't be trying to come here... the grass is apparently greener in the USA and why not freebies!!
Were to busy trying to keep up with the illegals that keep sucking off of us. Ever thought if they werent here our country wouldnt need to be fixed.
THATS HARD TO DO WHEN THOSE COUNTRIES HAVE NO MONEY OR HARDLY ANY RESOURCES TO DO IT.
Sometimes I've found myself having that reaction -- but then I ask how easy any of us find it to change what we don't like about THIS country...
Why should anyone take those suggestions when really the United States itself is "not" taking care of their/our dysfunctions. Such as homelessness, racism, crime, and so on!
Anyone can suggest but literally fixing the internal chaos is not a primary concern so fu*k it!
I agree with the answer of this user:
let me quote him

I think this country is about diversity, I am a Mexican American and even I am against illegal aliens wanting free food, education, health
That's not right, I work my @ss every hour and in my paycheck I see how much taxes I paid, then I have to pay more to do my taxes, and it annoys me when these persons want to get those services free
My parents are here legally..and that cost them so much time (years), money, attorney, etc.
and these persons want granted citizenship?
no way
The first thing any country that is having difficulties most likely has to do is depose and dispose of tyrannical dictators. If they aren't willing to do that, then what can any other country do but invade them when they become too troublesome.
It's interesting to see the people rising up against Chavez.
I'd love to, but i'm still not sure how to do it.
I live in Mexico, and i'm so concerned with our connationals having to leave my loved country.
But i just do what is in my hands, guess. Vote, be involved in my country information and decisions trougth being informed, and teaching my son the civism he hardly gets at school.
Working hard, improving my own person, and of course teaching and showing my son what it takes to make it better, work, work and work!
