Is there any value in using Premium Processing for I140 applications to USCIS now that there's retrogression?

Answer:
First of all, the "premium processing" is basically the U.S.immigration's premium excuse for not doing what they are supposed to do(they already charge people dearly for some very simple paper work and processing that they routinely screw up anyways) and their justification for ripping the applicants off at a rather vulnerable and helpless time.
If you have plenty of time to prepare the filing and don't have to worry about deadlines then I 'd say save your money for something more worth while.
Of course, if there's an issue that you would have problems of being out of status or over staying if you don't get the answer or approval sooner, then you don't have much choice but to
shell out the money or risking losing your status.
Great question. I believe that probably one of the reasons why the USCIS is so far behind in doing their job is because they are misusing their human resources to run Premium Processing. A person paying for premium processing can get their cases delayed or denied with the same speed as non premium cases.
