What exactly is the situation with illegal immigrants in the USA?
I don't get what this immigration problem is...or at least, why the Mexicans are being blamed for it, when the USA is obviously letting them come through and settle there.
What am I missing here? Should you not be angry at your own government? I realize there is a lot of riff-raff that comes across but aren't the majority of illegals just wanting a better life?
I understand they are taking jobs too, but all these problems are political...your political problems. So why all the anger at the immigrants?

Why aren't you all demanding Bush put the military guard on the border and demand your military be brought home to care for your own country?

The anger about the situation is not displaced... there is anger at our politicians for not doing their job..however when someone comes here illegally, they know they are coming here illegally and breaking the law, so they are also to blame for the situation...They are hardly innocent victims in it
they are here illegally...they need to surrender and be sent home and apply to come back in the proper manner
You are so right. America is a good country and its our own fault for being politically inept. I don't care if they come into our country as long as they are taking the steps to be legal. Personally, i don't want our troops to come out of Iraq. We need them there more.

That's a mouth full>First off i guess if someone breaks into your house who do you blame . When your IDS & SS# credit stolen,who do you blame . When the DUI driver who has no licence or real ID or maybe your ID kills 1s you love than who do you blame. When murder, rape, & thieft of all Documents for there illegal gain 2 our live is among the things they do.Yea The Gov -has let us down but for some 1 to say What iam missing it's 2 late. We have & We will hold the Gov= official & employers & renters,& anyone that stand with criminal illegal aliens 2 destroy our great country so they can take our jobs pay no tax in there name, use every free bee they can an sent there money back 2 there country so more criminal illegal aliens can come here. wow i couldn't have put it better myself. i think most antis here are just pissed off at little things they hate about illegals. and they let their hatred control their mind.
according to the immigration reform bill..illegals don't just get a free amnesty.
they first pay numerous fees which directly goes towards the border security.
then if they want to apply for the new z-visas or the green card they first have to return to their home country and file papers from there and wait just like a legal immigrant to get their documents.
am i the only one who agrees with the bill?
they pay us money (4.4 billion dollars) to secure our own borders and then they go back on their own without anger or any conflict towards american people to wait for their legal documents.
and if the antis think that illegals wont go back then well, antis have nothing to lose since thats what the bill promises...illegals don't get a free amnesty without doing everything i just stated. we have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
and no matter how much you try to 'round up' 14 million people.its just not going to happen peacefully. the legal procedure is the only way.
here are the main things i have against the illegals. first they come here illegally. They work the jobs that americans would do for a fair wage, but they work these jobs for nothing.. so they are taking away jobs from american's who would do the work. Second, a majority of them don't pay taxes, but want the benefits of being an american. They want social security, health care, to drive, many are on welfare, they have children here which overcrowd our school systems, and a huge amount of the people in prison right now are illegal aliens. They say they don't do anything wrong, but them they get busted for having a fake social security number, they say they are just here to work, but they are being exploited by the usa government. Im so sick of having laws in this country that only apply to the citizens of the usa and not to the illegals which are here. But i do agree with you I am pissed as heck at our government right now, along with big business. They are the main reason we have this problem We don't need any major immigration reform. We just need to enforce the laws we have right now. We need to secure the border, deport the illegals which are here, heavily fine the compaines which hire illegals, and then make it a little easier and quicker to come here the legal way. But our leaders do not see it this way. I don't know what the heck i will do if this gets passed. They country will go to heck and i will no longer support the government which supports illegals more then the citizens here now!! i guess that is all i have to say about this right now!

Too many! Your example of contractors bringing Mexicans to work is not the normal event. MOST are just coming. This is where I place 100% of the blame on the illegal alien criminals! They are criminals because they are breaking our laws! Sure I'm angry at the government because they aren't enforcing our CURRENT laws.
However, if these 20+ million illegals weren't here our economy, schools, health care system, prison system, etc. would be in much better shape. Sorry but I blame the illegals!
