What are the chances to win a green card with the DV lottery?

does anyone know what the chances to win a green card with the DV lottery are? (I'm French).

I've tried more than 5 times already without success :-(

US government give out 55,000 (5000 for NCNRA reserve)green card every year. 5 - 7 millions applied each year, So your chances are different every year as how many people are tried in that year. You will be notified between May to July. If you win the 2008 lottery, you will know it between May -July, 2007.
