but more people also want to be have the standard of living, access to healthcare, longevity, freedoms to act and speak which we americans in the USA have.

It would depend what country you are in and what part of that country you are in to what there views would be...
How do we determine "look down on"? Do we trust media polls? Even the BBC poll would be misleading as Mexicans are not mentioned in a poll asking for Iraqi war opinions. And what would Russia care about looking down on either? How about Australia with it's closed borders... would it side with the US with our similar situation, or sympathize with Mexico's impoverished? Asking this question is like asking who one's family looks down on more. It is a matter of opinion and self-esteem.
I think the world looks down on ignorance, regardless the nationality.
I personally do not judge a nation as a whole I think it is a sign of ignorance and is very judgemental, I observe each man/woman individually then make my decision. I like everyone until you harm me then you are on my bad side and always will be.

A criminal is a criminal. Not because of being Mexican, but because some break the law. If I robbed a bank, I would be in jail so fast!!! They cross illegally, take our jobs for low wages, such as construction. If it weren't for them, Americans and legals would take the jobs because the employer would be forced to pay what the job's worth, they pay illegals chicken feed and they'll do it! They all pile up in one little house and reap all the benefits. Free health care, They will get my Social Security I've worked my *** off and paid for as a citizen. Bush is low on the IQ end.
