Develop your self, and be a model to your fellow friends. Develop a small number of people, may be people of your class or street.
Thing big, but start small.
A Country gets developed automatically when its citizen follow:
1. Disciplined life in every aspect
2. Live with honour & self respect
3. try to become self reliant than depend on somebody
else
4. live and lead a truthful life
We need a better mass transit system...high speed rail throughout the country. This would be a good start...also alternative energy and better levies.
First thing you should do is start answering your own homework questions.
The first step to developing a country is industry. Basic industries such as steel refinery and such supply a base for economy. Next you need education. Education allows the country to slip from an industrial nation with high risk and low paying jobs to a self-sufficient country of people who can now invent and take things to the next level. Finally comes technology and advances in the medical fields and in human rights. The problem most countries have is they try to reform after a revolution by spreading the money evenly instead of trying to create jobs and a self-sustaining economy.
Look up the word Amish and see how they help each other.
start doing things the way you want other to do it.
Only one thing, Just remove Corruption, than our country will be best in the World

It is the best way & very tough, according to me, but when you reach at the helm of your career and age you will achieve what you wanted!
Compare our body and our country. All our actions are monitored and controlled by our head. The one who has the sound head will have sound health!
In the same way, our country is administered by the Prime Minister. It takes your life time to reach that place by overcoming all kinds of fellow politicians, whom we can compare with all kinds of diseases trying to affect our body and shorten our life.
The fellow politicians try to win over the other by adopting shortcuts. In order to increase the vote bank, they adopt different routes, which we call it as corruption. Everybody likes to live comfortably by doing less work and like to see the fellow citizen suffer or push them to a lower level of economic status.
So, when you have the intention to develop this country in all the fields, look for many youngsters like you, form a party or join the best party among the available parties, develop the attitude to convince the higher ups in the party to accept your views. You will slowly and steadily grow!
To attain such position is next to impossible! But, such a politician was there in Singapore, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew [served as the] first prime minister of Singapore [from] 1959-1990. He has brought his country to its present outstanding growth during his 31 years of public life!
Where there is a will there is a way! why not? you can prove this proverb by taking the toughest of the toughest routes!

Sailing in the same boat... I thought of this many times.... searched for the way.. as a initial step. ... I am trying to develop myself first.
to me We means govt, yes govt. should expend at leat 7% GDP on quality education, another 7% on health care another 9% on infrastructure,another5% on sanitation,entangles knot es in bureaucracy avoid red Tap ism for free flow of money, E-governance,non tolerance to corruption,time bound projects,money management,wonderful internal security and external security systems to be put in a place,
Frankly it seems easy to write but difficult to achieve, but a starting can be done by you and me kind of people, so my advice to you to start company and do some kind of business with work force , pay your tax honestly, this could be a small step , but if everybody in India pursue this step surely our country would be a developed country in near future.

We are developing and developing in faster rate than many other countries. But still we lacking in the international norms. To understand this we need to analyze the socio - economic history of our country. (I am going to discuss few points about, which you will not find out in the developed country history). The main reason we remained undeveloped is because the education had not reached the masses for centuries. The education is allowed to only to few higher caste in India for centuries and other are proscribed form studying. The casteism in India had done the damage. Only in the last two decades due to continues efforts by government and encouragement such as reservation the other caste (except higher caste) started learning. And you can find wherever there is education that places will improve. Take Kerala the literacy rate is high they are developed. Take any cities the literacy rate is high it will be a developed. Take Tamilnadu literacy rate is growing in higher rate and he state is growing in higher rate.
So if you want to make India a developed country just do one thing make education available to all by any means. Make higher education to all. Encourage the lower caste(They are proscribed to education till few decades back you want to understand this reality) by some kind of reservation ( they were unjustly kept out of education for centuries by upper cast people), help them with financial aid, and ultimately support them in employment for three generation you will see a developed INDIA.
If you/ we/ Politician are ready to do this nothing more is needed to make India a developed country. Because, education has such power to transform and it will do. You cannot found a developed country with more illiteracy rate and a poor country with high literacy rate.
Secondly we need to create employment, take china, the government there made China a manufacturing hub, in a similar way we need to make India a hub not only for IT (it cannot be reached by a 1st generation literate) but also for manufacturing, Agriculture ect.
If we could provide assistance to the farmers to export Indian vegetable or if we could able to cultivate the vegetable and export we are going to make a greater difference in the sate of living of majority people in India and subsequently we are making a developed India.
We can also create employment by announcing large scale infrastructure projects such as dams, roads, bridges ect , by which common man will be employed and find out his daily bread and for their family and support his children in their education by not forcing them to work along with them.
I hope if we could do the above we will see the developed INDIA soon.
