Petitioning my mother..is it possible?how long?

im 20 yrs old and ive been a green card holder for more than a year...is it possible to petition my mom?i miss her so much and i want her to live with me... how long does it take if ever?thanks!

Answer:
you need to become citizen first.
NOPE, it's impossible!!!
only U.S citizens over 21 can petition for parents then it take time for a green card to be issue to her up to 10 years sometimes.
so you need wait 4 more years and apply for U.S citizenship?
If you want her to live with you get the F*** out of our country and go live with her
not right now, wait til you're at least 21 years old then u can sponsor certain relatives (spouse, parents, unmarried kids under 21 years old) you will use Form I-130

You have to become a citizen I believe before you can do that. After 5 years you can take the test and become a citizen and then you can get your mom. Good luck :)
When you turn 21 you can file the paperwork to sponsor you mother, but if you are not a US citizen it will take forever for it to be approved. You are better off waiting until you become a citizen. Under immigration law you are considered a dependent until you turn 21 or get married.
