Can we afford all the border children? {welefare, health, education? over extended class rooms?}?
Answer:
Can we afford to give healthcare and education to children? Can we afford not to give it to them? The bottom line is that once they are here we have an ethical obligation to children. Their parents, however, are in violation of U.S. Federal Laws and should only be entitled to a quick trip back to the border. This being said, the law is a double edged sword - lawn services, custodial services, farms, factories, and individuals that actively seek out illegal labor and/or knowingly employ illegal laborers should be punished severely.
No, it is taking it's toll on Middle America and I can't afford it.
No. In Palm Beach County, one major hospital had lost all of its cardiac doctors because they were loaded up with illegals who could not pay. With Florida's high malpractice insurance fees, these doctors were frustrated.
This is only one example of the strain on the US social services. Everyone is sick of it.
No amnesty.
Can't wait to vote in '08.
I feel like a broken record... but not all of the illegal aliens in this country are border children or come from the same country. Some overstay visa's, some come from a variety of countries. It is not just the southwest that is experiencing problems.
No matter what we do - let them stay, deport them, pass expensive legislation that won't work - it will be expensive. Our government should have been on the ball years ago, instead of waiting until the problem became a massive one, with little hope of realistic solution.
we are headed for a brake down. eventually there will be no more American dream. we can thank all the clowns we have running this country.
Yes and to feed the war, save the animals, clean the earth if we stop funding a pointless war.
Hell no, we can hardly support the kids we have here.
no
If amnesty is granted, there will be more legal tax payers and therefore the burden will be evenly shared...
Our schools here are going into debt because of the children. While I agree they need an education I dont see why our children have to suffer. We have 6 weeks of summer school for the children of migrant workers who have never paid into the school district and then we are told they have to cut programs because we have no money to pay for them. In the end our children suffer.
No way! Send all of the illegals back to where they came from, I am tired of being taken advantage of.
Let's start blaming the childern for everything that happens now....Wow, it's interesting that you say ALL (100%) of the border children are on welfare! I don't recall ever being on welfare!
No, we can't. And hopefully we won't much longer.
No, and it isn't just the money. Our schools and facilities can't take them, and it would take a generation to build enough schools just for those already here. Our schools are failing our own children, and their children are not more important than ours.
