My friend needs help with getting her husband a green card???

They have been married 3 years and have a child together. They have maintained a residence for more than 2 years at one location, and neither has any criminal records of any kind. They are desperate for any information to obtain his green card. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!!!! This is an important matter, and those not serious will be reported.

I'm in a similar situation, although I haven't got my husband legal
(it's costs thouands of dollars I've heard)But I did get on the internet and got a phone # to call(it was a immigration # or homeland security),sorry don't have the phone# this has been 2 years ago.Anyways you call the # and it will have choices for what kind of forms you will need, I needed the one where I'm legal and trying to make my husband legal. They will send you them for free and you fill them out and then you have to pay to file them. After that they will let you know what needs to be done next and so on.Also it's just pay this pay that, lots of money.Sorry I wasn't very helpful with phone #'s and which forms to get, but I promise once your friend finds and calls the number she will know what to do.They explain on the phone which forms are for which people and all that and then you'll press a # to have them send you one in the mail.Good luck to your friend and her husband.
Don't depend on this forum to get the information you need because you may get some pretty bad advice. Call the INS (or probably the INS division of Homeland Security now) and ask them.

You do not need to give any name and they are quite happy to advise you on what has to be done under the specific circumstances.

You do not say if she is a US citizen but, if she is, the process is not normally very complicated or time-consuming when the spouse is still outside the country. The only complication may be if he is already residing illegally in the US but they are quite happy to give advice on that, too.

Nobody should be afraid of them since their main mission in life, contrary to popular opinion is not to put people in jail or deport them.
