I doubt they'd be willing to help.. They seem to like the fact that our country is slowly but surely being destroyed by these illegals.
I wonder if they know it costs about $23,000 to house an illegal alien in prison. I feel for you guys near the border.. You've got to pay for a lot of damage on top of having taxes taken out to support individuals who have no right to be here.
No. But I support a HUMAN wall along the border. Bring back the National Guard and station them there. Would work better than a regular wall that they can climb over or cut through.
I do not live in Arizona, but another border state. I feel your pain. It is just awful. I don't mind helping my fellow man, but this is way out of control. We need to close our borders, and ship em out. I have had enough.
That's a great point but some of us "non border starters" are having the same issues you are having, except instead of over time it has exploded into our schools and communities.
I can't help you with your insurance, property, crime, etc. but I will fight with you to end it.
I would ask McCain how he figured that giving them amnesty would solve this issue?
I wish they would. Rates in my area are high as well...insurance co-pay shot up 10 dollars.
I grew up in a border state so I know where you're coming from. Now they are everywhere. Our govt is doing nothing to protect us, the American citizens. They are catering to criminals and big businesses. It's awful. Our voices need to be heard continuously. Let's not give up!

The whole nation is having problems with these criminals (Even Michigan has a HUGE population of illegals), so I don't see reimbursing the costs to one state or another as being practical.
However, I know that I and most of the rest of the country would love to assist in kicking these punks out of our country.

I think the supporters of illegal immigration shoud foot the bill for everything.
Safeguarding the border is a Federal issue. You should petition your elected representatives for any additional costs related to undocumented workers.
Oh, I forgot, Arizona Senator John McCain is in favor of legalizing the millions of undocumented workers already in the country.

Unfortunately this problem is everywhere now. All states are experiencing these problems, we may not be in as deep as the border states but we are being compromised also. All the more reason for us to keep pushing for deportation and no amnesty for the illegals. Our state is faltering due to lack of industrial jobs being sent to other countries, etc. But the fereral government needs to wake up and get rid of all of these criminals that have invaded us, not to mention the criminals in the capital. We've got to get the borders enforced and all of us are more than willing to petition for it daily!

You should be asking the Mexican government and the wealthy there to reimburse your state.
I do not live in a border state, but in a near-border state and the situation here is not ideal.
I think we should all band together and force the issue with our government to STOP these costs by deporting the illegals and firmly securing the border. I will gladly help pay for that.

Might make a deal with you. Defeat McCain and Ted Kennedy and we will see if we can get reimbursement thru a new congress. If you guys would just catch them and put them to work building the fence, we are already paying for that. It is alright if you let them escape across the border to the south.
I feel for you buddy, but I live in South Florida and I am already supporting 200 Haitians, 4000 Mexicans, and at least 100 other families from all over the world. We are also getting 20,000 Cubans a year from deal we made with the bearded one so that the flotilla would stop, we are all tapped out. So maybe try Connecticut, I hear they are a sanctuary state and might be willing to spare some funds
