Does Australian Immigration do drug testing?

I live in California and my family has put in an application to Australia for permanent residence there. I know that before they accept you they do a medical to check for diseases but do they also do drug testing? (I need to know if i should lay off the grass)

Answer:
Read the questions on Form 26 (available from www.immi.gov.au) - from memory it says something like - do you take illegal drugs? There is also something about - are there any visible signs of drug taking, e.g. track marks.

If it is obvious that you are taking drugs then it is likely that they will ask for a blood test and you will also need to get a psychologists report.
Australia has one of the strictest immigration policies in the world. i don't know for sure, but i would say 99% chance of YES.
I don't think they do. To many people are on many different medications which shows mixed results.
