Things didn't happen here overnight either. We had to deal with trying to end slavery and the war that literally divided the states. Women weren't very happy that they couldn't vote. We had a horrible depression that had to be dealt with we have had 2 world wars and a major domestic and a major foreign terrorist attack. There is going to have to be a group of people in Mexico with the same spirit our founding fathers had (because technincally they were Brittish traitors until we won our independence). The whole give me liberty or give me death type of mentallity has to take hold there.
I don't think it is in Mexico's best interest to do anything about it to be honest.
Because the US will roll over and play dead. They get people to listen and the "bleeding hearts" will continue to give them freebies. Personally, I'm really tired of it
You have a point, the ROOT of this illegal immigration problem is that Mexico REFUSES to do anything to help it's poor. The distribution of wealth in this country isn't great, but it's horrible there.
Having said that, hopefully it is because the people you mentioned WANT to stay HERE and assimilate. That is NOT a bad thing.....
the same persistence they put forth in these protests and marches can be applied in their country. the same country they say have no opportunities. I think protests and marches would solve that problem.
If you knew anything about the Mexican government you wouldn't have even asked that question. Marches and protests in Mexico accomplish nothing. Only Mexican citizens with money and power can influence the Mexican government. People with money and power don't enter the US illegally as they live well in Mexico unlike the majority of Mexican citizens.
I don't know I guess the reason why no has responded is that there are to many people out there that can not respond without being negative. And for your question I don't really know I guess they figure that it is easier to get their way here in the US since our elected officials are spineless and would rather give illegals amnesty instead of doing the right thing for the citizens of the US.
The problem is if we continue on this present course our country will be a shell of the nation we used to know. Sad times indeed. I think we are witnessing the fall of our nation similar to the fall of the Roman Empire.

I think that even if Mexico did change and became more poor people friendly,that the illegal aliens would still come to this country.
Its not easy to change hundreds of years of ingrained inequities that the poor there have to face.The average daily wage being $ 4.50 compared to 10 or 20 times that per day in the USA.Even in the US working without health benefits and sometimes dangerous working conditions,its still better than in Mexico.
A "revolution " in Mexico would be what it would take to "change " things there.People are too busy just trying to feed their family's to take time out for a revolution.

As to your question, the majority of the illegals here understand that they can go home and protest all they like and never receive the attention and return as they will here in the USA. When we begin to get serious about the problem, the illegals will then realize that home (Mexico, Guatemala, or wherever) is the best place for them. We are simply making it too easy on them.
They would not get away with it. They know better. The federales would shoot on sight.
The immigration policies in Mexico are very strict and are strictly enforced yet Mexican officials come over here and tell us what we need to do to accomodate them.
The sad thing is our so called leaders actually listen to them and our President signs agreements to give them our Social Security benefits.
If our leaders had huevos they would not be marching here either.
They are demanding rights that American citizens don't have.
hello, I'm Mexican,i live in chihuahua,. today at school, we were talking about this, the biggest problem is the culture; yes we have the resources, but what we don't have is government that help us use those resources, we have no research, i study at one of the best universities of Mexico, but the budget we receive for research is less than a couple thousand dollars.

I am not Mexican and I am not illegal either, but the only thing I can say that it is the fucked up government that we have in Latin American countries that make people immigrate to the USA I dont think no body would leave the own house or country of origin, if they would see that life is going good. But immigration have been going on all the time in the U.S.A and is not only Mexicans or Hispanics that have migrated to the U.S, why dont we remember About the Irish that were forced to live Ireland form the Potato Late Blight , which turn the stalk and stem of potato plants to black slime. Late blight contributed to the devastating Irish famine of the 19th century, which millions of people died and many were forced to live Ireland. These is an analogy of what exactly is going on in some Latin Americans countries for example Cuba thats were I am from my people are very smart and educated but they dont get paid enough and they are "hungry" and dieying and you cant go against the government, because if you do they put you in jail. So what I am trying to say is that the U.S is a blessed land because it has housed so many people with different nationalities and colors. We all just need to learn how to get along and love each other, by the way thats what God has mandated for us to do " Love thy neighbor as you love thy self"
