We have been asked to pay money by the green card. What is this for?
Answer:
The Department of Homeland Security requires that applicants pay for all processing fees. These fees are rather large, since they include administrative processing and background checks. However, you should only be paying fees to the Department of Homeland Security.
u r required to pay a big amount of fees for applying for the green card. regular procedures
It is for processing the application but do not pay it to anyone but DHS. Do not be fooled by notaries.
If it is a request from the American gov. - it is a processing fee that ALL that legally want to work and live here MUST pay. That is why those that have broken the laws and are living/working here illegally are 'illegal' - they have bypassed the laws and procedures that a law abiding person follows.
If the request is from someone other than the American gov. - more than likely a scam.
That is why it is IMPORTANT to follow the rules and regulations of any country one is attempting to enter into LEGALLY - so as not to be ripped off by those usually of that persons race that is making a ton of money off the ignorance of those that have already shown a lack of brilliance in making the choice to enter illegal and are nothing more than criminals.
