iHave you ever been to Miami? I didn't think so. It's my favorite place to visit. Third world, ever been to New Orleans? Houston, Central L.A., the Bronx, parts of Penn State? Do you know that Miami may have more Haitians and Jamaicans along with Domincans even lot's of Germans and Jews? One thing I don't loke is, wrong imformation. I do thrive on truths and facts. I don't know how I paused to add to this ignorance as I've done...

I feel he is correct. just about everything there is in spanish and not english. and the population is mostly cuban.
Because it is. No one speaks english, there is no law on the streets, crime is number 3 in the country. Its a island of refugees waiting for cuba to change leaders, not be Americans. That makes it a toilet not fit to be in this country.
The South Americans there (not the Cubans, mind you) refer to Miami as The Capital of South America.
BTW, Tancredo's heritage is not Cuban.
i lived and worked in the Miami area for many years. calling it a "third world" country is a bit extreme. I don't believe Miami is as bad as it is because of the Cuban exile community. If it is a "third world country" it is because the middle class seems to represent a far smaller percentage of the overall population there than it does elsewhere in the U.S.A. Miami-Dade County has rampant government corruption, failing public infrastructure, horrible public schools, and vast numbers of people living in persistent poverty (persons for whom the affluent of South Florida generally seem to have no concern). Yet there is also tremendous wealth there. It is the government corruption, bad infrastructure and two class society that causes people to liken it to the third world.
Yes, Iheard about this too and have connections in Miami...Tancredo is referring to Mexican Illegals and The Cuban community......Furthermore other info states Trancredo ia referring to the illegals as opposed to the Cubans who have been in Miami fo many years..
Some say that the Mexxicans are coming in feeling "comfortable' in that area....

So for people like them speaking Spanish and mostly Hispanic is plural of third world. And then they say it's not racism.

I do not know what he meant. Maybe he meant it's because the city is dirty. Maybe he meant because of immigrants. I don't know, because I was not there when he said it and I am not inside his brain.

i haven't herd a report like that. show proof please. cubans did not make miami into a 3rd world country. it still belongs to america. i do beleive there are 2 or 3 % cubans in the unites states.
