The measure defines domestic terrorists as persons who are illegally in the U.S. and are part of criminal enterprises as well as protesters whose actions intimidate, threaten or cause physical harm to legal citizens.
Sponsors include Republican legislative leaders -- state Senate President Tim Bee, House Speaker Jim Weiers, House Majority Leader Tom Boone and Senate Majority Leader Thayer Verschoor -- and conservative activists such as state Reps. Russell Pearce, Trish Groe and Eddie Farnsworth and state Sen. Ron Gould.
The measure comes on the heels of a measure forwarded by state Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Phoenix, which looked to classify the anti-immigration Minuteman Civil Defense Corps volunteer group and other armed vigilantes as domestic terrorists. That bill was shot down by the Republican-controlled Legislature.

Before you start waving the flag thinking all is good in the ole' USA . I would read the fine print . Being loose about classifying people as terrorists could be a dangerous thing .
You are one of the many states that have new "terrorist identification" acts being passed. The police are being notified to be on the lookout for people that fit their bill of descriptions. Other states describe terrorists as people that wear Levi jeans, reference the Constitution and so forth.
I along with many others think this is bullsiht, but remember our Constitution and Bill of Rights are being dismantled by the Bush administration all in the name of our "safety."
Sadly, it just gets worse from here on out. After we pull a "Gulf of Tonkin" on Iran and nuke them(because they pose such a threat, since they can't go nuclear, weapons wise till 2015), then WW3. After that, the draft for more people to be sent to their deaths, and martial law takes into effect. After all that, a one world government will rise and bring tyranny to us all.

Even if it passes, it solves absolutely nothing. People in power giving its voters what they want to hear instead of anything with substance that would actually make a difference. I'm down with the felony stick though. The word terrorism needs to be dropped.

Anyone promoting racism, intolerance and violence to the point of bringing war to American soil is not a real American in spirit and ultimately will be crushed. Racism is a mental disease that is being tolerated as a distraction. But, ultimately, Mexico and the U.S. are blending into the new Superstate with Canada and big business and big contracts will, under no circumstances, be allowed to be endangered or interfered with by morons with peashooters in the desert. Arizona's economy will crash over this. Who in their right mind wants to live around racists or war or bring their business there? I have a friend in Hong Kong who told me yesterday that Arizona and the moronic Minutemen are being discussed by businessmen and women in Asia as a new "hot zone" in the world to avoid. "Oh! Oh! Let's take the children, Herold, and spend our vacation in sunny Arizona! Maybe we'll get to see some of those low-grade nuclear weapons everyone's talking about that the Minutemen heeeeeeros are going to use to SAVE us from the illeeeeeeegals." Hopefully, the economic wasteland that Arizona becomes will serve as an example for how NOT to approach this problem. (If the Minutemen heeeeeros act out their morbid dreams of racial purity, I'm going want one of the collector postcards of a U.S. Army tank rolling down the street in front of the Arizona capitol building. I actually collect such postcards of humanity's most stupid historical moments.)
