Which is better for a spouse?...CR-1 or K-3 visa?

Despite the longer waiting time, I opted for the CR-1 for my wife because she was imediately eligible for a SSN and employment. I also avoided the Adjustment of Status that needs to follow the spouse's arrival on a K-3

since i dont memorize all the immigration visa number (and im guessing that most others dont either) it would be in your best interest to describe what CR1 and K3 are. For example; "fiance visa" or "spousal visa" etc. It all depends on how long you have been married and if they were living illegally in the US before applying.
In my case, we have more hope for the K3 being faster. Our I 130 is still months away from going to the NVC- thanks to a 6 month wait for the I 824 we filed.

But you still have to apply to have the "Conditions" removed within 90 days before the 2 yr. period the CR1 is valid for, with form I-751, to receive the permanent status, IR1. It is possible to enter as a K3 and still receive CR1, it's all about timing in these cases. Both CR1 and K3 are for spouses of U.S. citizens.
